Bill Nelson Posted May 25, 2009 Report Posted May 25, 2009 P-Vine, Shmee-Vine. I'll sit tight and be alright with my 'Soul of O.V. Wright' (MCA 10670). It's 18 tracks of Back Beat (1964-74), mostly 'hit' singles, with some of the later tracks in a gospel vein. Easy to get -- still available new at Amazon for $10.49 Quote
JSngry Posted May 25, 2009 Author Report Posted May 25, 2009 Evidently, Eight Men, Four Women has been available as a single CD for a while - slipped by me. It's one of those 8-cut MCA Special Product things that was available in truck stops, gas stations, and other such places. I've had it for years, but on cassette. Because I keep it semi-real like that. My 8 Men, 4 Women CD (MCA MCAD-20547) has 10 cuts. You're right. I was going by memory, and the last few years, it's my memory that's been going by. I'll sit tight and be alright... Vintage! Quote
John L Posted May 25, 2009 Report Posted May 25, 2009 (edited) There is more than one "Eight Men, Four Women" album. The cheap one released in the States on cassette and then CD is sort of a compiliation that is not the same as the original LP, which I believe has only been released on CD in Japan.
