Bashing in general I have no use for. Not Jarrett bashing, not Wynton bashing, not audience bashing. Hmm, guess that puts me in an interesting position re Jarrett. Guess I'll just have to listen to the music and leave it at that.

What is this? The world needs to know!

Seconded!

I haven't heard Gary Peacock recently, so I can't say if he was lobotomized or not.

Reports are he sounded great with Bley not too long ago (a pesky pianist whom Jarrett claims never to have heard).

When did Jarrett claim never to have heard Bley? In the Carr biography he is quoted as saying that he listened a lot to Bley in the early or mid 60s.

As someone who only had a few Jarrett CDs; Koln, Facing You, Standards Trio Vol 1 and Live In Japan this CD was my big I get Jarett moment. While quite not like the scene in the Soprano’s where Tony is coming down off Peyote watching the sunrise yelling “ I get it” but hearing the title track and Oleo on the first disc I was pretty much floored. I totally now understand the rabid devotion that people give this trio now. Classic record in my opinion and my favorite disc of 07.

Maybe I'll get it someday...don't hate Jarrett, it's all very nice, but not really blown away by his playing. I should get this new one and check it out.

I hope you didn't cough or take a photo when you got it

seriously, it's like one of these "comments" for every two about the music. Yeah, we get it. He gets bitchy when things aren't perfect. Right.
