Totally different in instrumentation and completely lacking in 'blues' feel but has that same spacey, taking your time feel as KOB. Perhaps 'In A Silent Way' would be a closer reference point. Quote

Another one that comes to mind is "Jazz Impressions of Japan" by the Dave Brubeck Quartet. Stylistically, it's different from KOB, however they have an similiar feeling overall. At least to my ear. Two underrated albums in my book. Quote

Part of the ECM aesthetic is Manfred Eicher's recording technique. I'm not quite sure how he does it, but it's utterly unique. A signature as recognizable as RVG's. Up over and out.
