Hardbopjazz Posted January 9, 2008 Report Posted January 9, 2008 I'm trying to do a search on MAX ROACH in artists section. Th software returns the message that 1 or more words in my search is 3 characters or less. What do I have to do to get this to work? Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted January 9, 2008 Report Posted January 9, 2008 Since we finally got our version on mySQL upgraded, I'm going to remove that limitation (the three character limit). Try again in a few minutes. Quote
B. Clugston Posted January 9, 2008 Report Posted January 9, 2008 You can also use Google. Or just start a new thread and wait for some of the crankier board members to post links to existing threads. Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted January 9, 2008 Report Posted January 9, 2008 I forgot about this. Doing it now. I got a cool email about a possible gig, then a call from a good friend, etc. I'm on it right now. Quote
rockefeller center Posted January 9, 2008 Report Posted January 9, 2008 Or leave out the first name. There shouldn't be too many Roaches. Quote
MoGrubb Posted January 9, 2008 Report Posted January 9, 2008 Or leave out the first name. There shouldn't be too many Roaches. , or Roachi. Quote
analogak Posted January 9, 2008 Report Posted January 9, 2008 yeah why couldn't you just put in roach? at worst you get a freddie roach thread too....just don't read it. Quote
Quincy Posted January 9, 2008 Report Posted January 9, 2008 Or leave out the first name. There shouldn't be too many Roaches. Whereas searching for Glenn Gould without the first name will give you lotsa hits for some reason. Quote
clifford_thornton Posted January 9, 2008 Report Posted January 9, 2008 yeah why couldn't you just put in roach? at worst you get a freddie roach thread too....just don't read it. If we can get one on Rahim Roach to pop up, that would be kinda cool. Quote
Van Basten II Posted January 10, 2008 Report Posted January 10, 2008 How the heck do you search for Sun Ra ? Quote
Niko Posted January 10, 2008 Report Posted January 10, 2008 (edited) You searched for: "joe guy" Unfortunately your search didn't return any results. Try broadening the search parameters by searching by different keywords or altering the format of your search. could it be that joe guy really hasn't discussed on this board (just writing this post so that i can search for it...) edit: from google i see there is this thread http://www.organissimo.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=5803 why doesn't a search for "joe guy" deliver it? especially as i can find it searching for "Lawrence Lucie" Edited January 10, 2008 by Niko Quote
paul secor Posted January 10, 2008 Report Posted January 10, 2008 How the heck do you search for Sun Ra ? I tried "sunra" on the search function and came up with 2 pages of results. I would think that there has been more Sun Ra action on the board than that - though I might be wrong. Quote
