sidewinder Posted December 28, 2007 Report Posted December 28, 2007 End of an era.. Cue the last post bugler as the final Miles LP set hits the dust. Quote
Clunky Posted December 28, 2007 Report Posted December 28, 2007 Sad I agree, maybe some day they'll issue vinyl again. I'm on the fence re these last two sets , I have most of the material of both sets on CDs which sound just fine, I'm not sure I can justify to myself the costs of upgrading to vinyl but then again....... Teasing the Korean Posted January 10, 2008 Report Posted January 10, 2008 Wow, we'll never be able to find any more vinyl by that obscure Miles Davis guy... Quote

porcy62 Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 Anyone know if the Webster Young vinyl is gone yet? Did you mean "The Complete Ben Webster/Neil Young and The Crazy Horse at Monterey Pop Festival"? I have some spare copy of it, PM if you want one. Good Price Quote
trane_fanatic Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 (edited) Missed out on the Miles/Gil and Plugged Nickel (I still don't have the PN in any format ) boxes cuz I wasn't hip to Mosaic back til a few short years ago, got the Miles/Coltrane, '63-'64, '65-68 and BB boxes, and decided to pass on the Blackhawk and IASW collections. 4 outta 8 Miles vinyl sets ain't bad, right? Not enough for a grant for Harvard School of Law and Vinyl or MIT or Organissimo's HITECH, try to apply for some lousy public University in Cucamonga State. Edited January 11, 2008 by porcy62 Quote

porcy62 Posted February 22, 2008 Report Posted February 22, 2008 Great set - I'm pretty sure you won't regret it. Agree, I was listening to it today, definitely you won't regret. Lots of great music lost in the delta of later Columbia's reissues, readily available and great sounding, could you ask for more? Quote
trane_fanatic Posted March 14, 2008 Report Posted March 14, 2008 Goodbye, '65-'68 set. The era of the Miles Davis Columbia sets on Mosaic vinyl is officially over. Quote

Son-of-a-Weizen Posted March 20, 2008 Report Posted March 20, 2008 With all the bitching starting in over at Hoffman about 'imperfect' AP 45 vinyl coming out of RTI, bet the Mosaic folks are too happy to be out of that biz. Quote

Jeez - some people are subscribing to both of these offerings. Some people are obviously recession-proof Quote
