Arno Marsh Posted September 17, 2003 Report Posted September 17, 2003 Randy tells me that we might be doing another tour next year. Hope so. I'm doing a Carribean cruise in November with a band out of Seattle,Washington. We will be playing the Harry James book. Big band 4 trumpets, 3 trombones , 5 reeds, bass, drums, and piano. The cruise will last about ten days followed by a couple of dates around Miami, Florida. I will be recording a CD live at the Lighthouse in Hermosa Beach, California in February. I don't have a date yet, but I'll let you know when I find out. Brian O'Rourke will be on piano, Paul Kreibeck on drums, Tom Warrington on bass, and Bob Summers on trumpet. At this time, I am researching material to use on the date. Looking forward to it. Quote

Peter Johnson Posted September 18, 2003 Report Posted September 18, 2003 Hey you guys, what's the story with what I thought was alluded to as an east coast tour this year (i.e., Philly, dammit!!! ) Quote
Joe G Posted September 19, 2003 Report Posted September 19, 2003 When it came down to it, there just wasn't enough time to handle the logistics of putting together even a short tour. These things are normally booked 8 months to a year ahead of time, and we had 5 months at the most, which dwindled rather quickly. So basically we're just doing a hit and run at the Clearwater Beach jazz festival Oct. 18th. Maybe next year. Quote
Peter Johnson Posted September 19, 2003 Report Posted September 19, 2003 Well, I'll keep my fingers crossed for next year. Let me know if I can do any further Philly legwork for y'all. Quote
