Kurt Mohr? I didn't know about him! Very sorry to see him go.

Kurt Mohr died several weeks ago.

Met Kurt shortly after his arrival in Paris from Switzerland when I was still in high school.

He was living in my neighborhood.

Very knowledgeable and friendly gentleman who kept his youthful enthusiasm until the end!

Richard Cook's 'Jazz Encyclopedia' never strays far from my bed-side table. Easily one of the best reference guides that exists on jazz.
