I have tried a search with success ... is there a complete list of the albums issued on the "Vogue Masters" Series (BMG) available? These are the fold-out digipacks with the "black" covers.

I am strictly interested in the newer remastered "digi-pack" edition ... I did have many of the older jewelboxes ...

It's not complete anylonger, the latest batch (Solal Vol. 4, Bechet/Solal, Cohn/Renaud, Renaud, Williams, Bebop in Paris Vol. 1/2, what else?) is not listed, and some titles aren't given correctly. Also there was a box collecting the four Solals, and there was that Big Bill Broonzy box. Please someone else take this list and make it nice and complete, I don't have the time at hand! The info for all those later releases are in another thread, brownie posted it, do a search for "Nelson Williams" and "brownie" and I'm sure you can find it all!

If anybody comes across the Solal V. 1 and doesn't want it for themselves (unlikely, eh?), let me know... I picked up 2, 3 and 4 a few months ago, but 1 seems to have dropped out of sight.

Hey sir, look closer... I mentioned Cohn/Renaud and the new Renaud (as just "Renaud") and the Renaud Trio/Sextet/All Stars (as "Henri Renaud... title?).

The Cameron was listed, too, with a shortened title... I'll update the list tomorrow, done with my presentation at University and some more time at hand again for the moment... phew!

Thanks for that link, EKE! Will have to check the covers out! Most of them are reproduced on the CD covers, but only in very small form!

Most of those Vogue covers came from the pen of Pierre Merlin, the French David Stone Martin!

For those who mssed the initial run of CDs from the Vogue Masters reissues, there is this recent 3CD reissue from Sony:

The price is right.

The CDs include tracks by Sidney Bechet, Django Reinhardt, Don Byas, Lucky Thompson, René Thomas, Jimmy Raney, Bobby Jaspar, among others...

No Django in the earlier series... and no Bechet, save for the Bechet/Solal album.

Have some of these in Japanese mini lp format; very nice sound. I think Dusty Groove also had them in some kind so sampler once.
