Son-of-a-Weizen Posted March 24, 2003 Report Posted March 24, 2003 Sadly, I have to smash a vinyl copy of Dorham's fabulous "Blue Spring" LP tonite because the cheap OJC vinyl is so bad that I can't bear the thought of someone finding this in my collection someday after I've gone to the bone orchard. Picked this sealed OCJ copy up during some online outfits final sale and it is riddled with loud "zzzzzzips" and "zzzzzzaps" that sounds like a toaster oven shorting out. Quote
RonF Posted March 29, 2003 Report Posted March 29, 2003 weizen, I had a very similar experience last year with a Fantasy vinyl of Miles's Workin'. I noticed that the vinyl was remarkably thin and mentioned it to my "record man". Not a problem, was the answer. Took it home and clunk, pop, skip...yeah, that toaster oven thang. He gave me a new one that worked but, MAN! that's bad! Quote
