GA Russell Posted June 8, 2011 Author Report Posted June 8, 2011 (edited) Remember former Argo Eric Crouch, the Heisman Trophy-winning Nebraska QB whom no one in the NFL would let play QB? He's now trying out for the Omaha UFL team. http://www.theglobea...article2051514/ Edited June 8, 2011 by GA Russell Quote
GA Russell Posted June 9, 2011 Author Report Posted June 9, 2011 Ohio State QB Terrelle Pryor announced Tuesday that he would turn pro. He is on Sask's neg list. I don't think that he would sign with a CFL team, however, because there is a minimum two-year commitment. He might play in the UFL, or he might apply for the NFL supplemental draft and wait out the lockout. http://www.tsn.ca/cfl/story/?id=368289 ***** TSN is filming a four-part documentary on the Argos. http://www.tsn.ca/cfl/story/?id=368365 ***** The Lions have signed Kamau Peterson. http://www.tsn.ca/cfl/story/?id=368370 ***** The Riders will announce that their profit this past year was $6.6 million. As I recall, the Green Packers' profit for 2009 was only $9 million. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/sports/football/saskatchewan-roughriders-credit-fans-for-doubling-profits-this-year/article2052920/ Quote

GA Russell Posted June 16, 2011 Author Report Posted June 16, 2011 TSN has posted its previews of the eight teams. I love the newspaper issues with the pre-season previews! GA Russell Posted June 18, 2011 Author Report Posted June 18, 2011 Saskatchewan Roughriders 23....Edmonton Eskimos 22 http://www.tsn.ca/cfl/story/?id=369292 A fun game. Durant and Ray didn't dress. Two weeks ago, the Esks opened camp with four veteran kickers, and Jamie Boreham and Louie Sakoda have already been let go. With the score 23-21 on the last play of the game, Derek Schiavone tried a 55 yard field goal which went wide for a single point. Their fourth kicker is Damon Duval, who will probably get the job. The wind in Regina gusted to 80 kph (that's 48 mph)! Quote
