The league announced today that nine regular season games (starting August 27), all four playoff games and the Grey Cup will be carried on the NBC Sports channel in the US.

I don't get cable, but this news means that I won't have any trouble finding the games at a sports bar!

The Roughriders had a 17 point lead in the fourth quarter, and let it slip away. I went to bed at the end of the third quarter, so I'll have to watch the video of that fourth quarter at TSN's website.

An upset for sure. Another surprise is that the Lions are only 2-2, when three of their first four games have been at home.

The Stampeders have signed Tad Kornegay.

Lots of fun. Not much defense. The Ticats certainly seemed for real tonight.

The record for kicks returned for touchdowns in a season is five. Chris Williams would have had his fourth, but turned around at the twenty and ran backwards the rest of the way in. He was caught and tackled at the one. I hope the coach fines him. Chevon Walker scored on the next play.

Winnipeg Blue Bombers 23....Edmonton Eskimos 22

Great game! A real nail biter. Two good defenses against two mediocre offenses. Edmonton had the ball and needed a field goal to go ahead in the final minute. Steven Jyles fumbled the ball on a quarterback draw on the Winnipeg 28.

On the last play of the first half, Alex Brink heaved the ball forty yards downfield in desperation, and Chris Matthews caught it in the end zone.

This was Winnipeg's first home game of the season, and also their first win. So far the home team has won 15 of 17 games.

Rob Bagg missed all of last year with a torn ACL in his right knee. Now he has torn the ACL in his left knee. I figure this could be the end of his career. It's a real shame because I always liked him.

Rob Bagg has decided to go under the knife, so that means that he will miss the rest of the year.

Great game. For the second week in a row, the Riders blew a big fourth quarter lead. This time it was 19 points. The Ticats scored 21 in the fourth to win it.

I watched that game, and you know what GA, Hamilton may be the real deal this year. Burris really has a hot hand. It will drive Argos fans nuts if Hamilton makes it to the Grey Cup this year (being played in TO).

The Als led 21-3 after three, and coasted the rest of the way. After six games, the Bombers have scored a total of 7 points in the first quarter.
