The draft is this weekend. Even though the CFL schedule starts earlier than the NFL's, the league schedules its draft the week following the NFL's because they want to see who the NFL drafts. They don't want to waste a high pick on someone who will sign with the NFL.

Montreal needs a kicker. Duval played out his option, and I haven't read if he has signed with anyone.

The Als selected a kicker with their first round pick today, and also traded their first pick of next year's draft to BC for Sean Whyte.
