JSngry Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 Cup Drive. Saw it today while talking my daughter to school and taking a new route through a new developement. Not Loving Cup Drive, not Stanley Cup Drive, not even Measuring Cup Drive or Halfa Cup Drive or DD Cup Drive, just outright Cup Drive. Seems a bit odd, no? However, both my daughter and I latched on to it as new new form of insider juvenile insult. "Hey, don't be such a cup." "God, what a cup (s)he is." "You're being an outright cup." Maybe you gotta be there. Or be me. But I think it's odd. World without end, amen. Quote
AllenLowe Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 or, one might live on 35 Cup Drive, Apartment DD - or, as one might say, that's a cup that's more than half-full. Quote
rostasi Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 A short distance from me is Cimarec St. Always thought it was an odd name... then, one day while out walking, I suddenly realized that it was the word "ceramic" spelled backwards (!?) Quote

He'd have figured it out much sooner. In honor of the World Series, I'd rename the street Jim saw "Cup Check". Quote
Noj Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 Drive North on the 5 from Los Angeles and around Sacramento you'll have the pleasure of passing the exits for Little Panoche and Big Panoche roads. Or maybe you'll decide to pull off on one of them. Quote

Hot Ptah Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 Sturgeon Eddy Road (in Wausau, Wisconsin). It's a main street, with a large public park and swimming pool on it. Tony Kubek used to live either on Sturgeon Eddy Road, or one block off it. Quote
JSngry Posted October 25, 2007 Author Report Posted October 25, 2007 Tony Kubek cetainly wore a cup oftne enough, but having never met the man, I couldn't say if he was a cup, even occasionally. Quote

Peter Johnson Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 One could, perhaps, travel from there to the road about 35 miles north of Portland off of I-5 called "Dike Access Road". RDK Posted October 26, 2007 Report Posted October 26, 2007 Any streets out there with jazz or musical names? I suppose it's too much to ask for a Thelonious Monk Blvd? Not exactly jazz, but I live on "Lyric." Quote
