The retro-soul singer, whose career has been complicated by a chaotic personal life, was at the station to answer questions relating to an ''alleged incident'' in the north London neighborhood of Camden earlier this week, the Outside Organization said in a statement. Tabloid newspapers have reported the 24-year-old allegedly hit a man who got in her way while she was playing pool at a bar and then head-butted another who was trying to hail her a cab in the early hours of Wednesday morning. Winehouse has previously had problems with the law at home and abroad. She and her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, were arrested in the Norwegian city of Bergen in October and held overnight on charges of drug possession. She was arrested in London later that year on suspicion of attempting to interfere with a court case involving Fielder-Civil, but in February police said prosecutors were no longer pursuing the affair. Fielder-Civil faces charges of perverting the course of justice stemming from a case in which he is accused of assaulting a barman. Woah! Quote

I think she has a nice retro-soul/girl group sound that she pulls off well. Too bad her life's such a train-wreck but that's been apparent from day 1. Quote

7/4 Posted June 24, 2008 Author Report Posted June 24, 2008 Now Uncle 7/4 is hearing that she doesn't have emphysema, but early symptoms that can be reversed if she takes care of herself. My Grandmother died of emphysema, a horrible disease. She was old when it happened. . Quote

This could just as easily have been an epitaph for Janis Joplin. As to Amy Winehouse, I've become a fan. I'm currently packing everything she's done on my iPod.
