clifford_thornton Posted November 1, 2007 Report Posted November 1, 2007 An album with 500 locked grooves by 500 different artists: How could I forget?? Quote
rostasi Posted November 1, 2007 Report Posted November 1, 2007 (edited) There's also the 7" with 100 locked grooves: Probably one of the most difficult releases that one could've at one time owned would've been the Merzbow recording Noise Embryo that was only obtainable by purchasing the Mercedes 230 that had it permanently installed. You started the car and it began playing and it was rigged so that it was impossible to stop it or even remove it from the CD player. Edited November 1, 2007 by rostasi Quote
Christiern Posted December 23, 2007 Report Posted December 23, 2007 Tony Schwartz! What a career he had! He was responsible for the LBJ political ad with the girl and the daisy as well as doing some great phonography recordings. I guess this is a rare recording, Tony gave it to me about 40 years ago: Quote

Some of the tracks on NY19 are: Band 1. STREET MUSICIANS / Times Square accordionist, Carnegie Hall fiddler, Moondog ... Band 4. SOUNDS OF THE CITY / Street driller and comment, 9th avenue "L" and comment Quote
