catesta Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 Me, too! Guess jeans, pink izod polo shirt (w/collar up, of course), Member's Only jacket... knit tie for special occasions.. I should 'fess up. I wear Skids outfits after he's done and my wife does the laundry. Ha! Shit, judging by what he's still wearing that means you must walking around in Tough Skins, Keds, and a Charlie Sanders jersey. Quote

rostasi Posted October 9, 2007 Report Posted October 9, 2007 Up to college, I wore excessively stylish clothes. After I realized how uncomfortable they really were, I made a 180° to really extreme random "styles" - often going out in various combinations of pajamas, kimonos, and/or the funkiest of thrift-store threads mixed with bright neon or loud design ties, really bright children's jewelry, and mismatched colored Converses. Nowadays, I still prefer the kimono around the house, homemade or limited edition XL (or larger!) t-shirts while out and about while throwing a black or gold sport coat over for more "formal" occasions. When you are done with these threads, send 'em to me. I will wear them for a while, have Ann launder them and send them back. I'm currently bored with Skid's threads. Quote

I pitched a show last year where I was going to showcase all my impressions, you know, Madden, Bush, De Niro, Jack Nicholson and so on. Long story short, they told me there was no room for a show like that except on Telemundo. Now I see TBS is running promos for a show exactly as I pithced it, except there is some fat dude where I should be and he calls himself Frank instead of Chris. I tell ya, I don't get no respect. Jazzmoose Posted October 9, 2007 Report Posted October 9, 2007 I dress the same as I have since I was a kid. Jeans and khakis and surfer shirts, baggy cargo shorts and skateboard shoes. I don't leave home without my Vans! Quote

page Posted February 13, 2016 Report Posted February 13, 2016 (edited) Ha! Didn't know this thread existed. Fun! Mine is kind of diverse. I like casual as well as dressing up depending on the occasion. Lots of jeans, but also lots of dresses. I'd generally prefer skirts and dresses instead of shorts in summer. During performances usually a dress. Soft spot for leather clothing, so far jackets, skirts and a dress, no pants yet until I'll find the perfect one. Maybe this belongs in a Confession thread, but I haven't found one yet. Maybe I can get some directions, since I miss a thread like that? Thanks. Edited February 14, 2016 by page Quote
Tim McG Posted February 14, 2016 Report Posted February 14, 2016 (edited) My clothing style? Middle-age frumpy casual. If it's clean and goes with jeans, I wear it. To wit: Edited February 14, 2016 by Tim McG Quote
page Posted February 14, 2016 Report Posted February 14, 2016 (edited) Shirt and jeans are for all ages I think, nothing wrong with that. I actually was wearing shirt and jeans myself today, so not just for all ages but also for all sexes. Edited February 14, 2016 by page Quote
Tim McG Posted February 14, 2016 Report Posted February 14, 2016 Cool. So I'm still hip. Nice. Quote

A Lark Ascending Posted February 14, 2016 Report Posted February 14, 2016 No money left for clothes after buying records. My 'style' is based on 3rd division 70s 'we're only in it for thew music, man' Prog-Rock bands (the ones who couldn't afford capes or loon pants). Quote
paul secor Posted February 14, 2016 Report Posted February 14, 2016 Dockers and L.L. Bean Casual - Casual - Casual. And probably Boring - Boring - Boring. Quote
danasgoodstuff Posted February 14, 2016 Report Posted February 14, 2016 I wear coat & tie to work at the library even though almost nobody else does, it's comfortable for me. People call it a suit, but it's not, non-matching dress slacks. jeans and flannel over t-shirt on weekends. Quote
The Magnificent Goldberg Posted February 14, 2016 Report Posted February 14, 2016 Well, looking back at what I said back then, nine years have made comparatively little difference to me except my Senegalese t-shirts have all worn out, as have my WBGO and others. Now I just wear Spillers Records t-shirts in different colours. I dress even MORE boringly than nine years ago. Basically, it's 'I don't give a toss' style; get what's easy and few others have. kinuta Posted February 15, 2016 Report Posted February 15, 2016 19 hours ago, BillF said: Nothing today can equal 1960's hip IMHO: I agree. I buy new clothes when the old ones wear out. I seem to get through a fair number of sneakers, my latest favourites are Asics Gel which are super comfy and great for walking. I wear the same things all the time, a combination of t shirts, regular shirts, jeans, shorts, sweaters and North Face down in winter. I smarten myself up a notch for work, which means wearing trousers instead of jeans. Basically I'm not interested in clothes but do like good shoes. Â Quote
