7/4 Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 The name isn't unique. My old rock 'n' roll drummer went on to play with a local metal singer who has the same name as me. There's a fusion drummer with my name in the NorthWest, Seattle maybe. I'm just thrilled that when I Google my name there's felon with my name here in NJ. And hey, lookie - I share a last name with the sports memorabilia collector who specializes in OJ. Just the kind of crap I don't need to be connected to. Quote

I know a lot of microtonalists. They out do record collectors and jazz fans for strangeness. Quote
Dan Gould Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 When I was young and went by "Danny" there were 43 of me. When I was in Graduate School and went by "Daniel" in my papers, there were 222. But only 22 who go by "Dan Gould". But like Chuck, the data base is fucked when it comes to my wife's maiden name. She'll have to let her family know that they don't exist. Quote
Unk Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 958 by my name in the US; 8 by my wife's name. (Different surname than mine. Different first name, for that matter.) Quote
Unk Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 My name has dropped off quite a bit in popularity. Heck, I've got recordings from the 20s and 30s where half tha band is named "Unk". (And, of course, that's the genesis of my board name.) Quote
Tim McG Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 How many people have same name as you? GoodSpeak? None. Absolute. I own it. My given name: Tim. A few good men. Quote

Chuck Nessa Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 Does this mean he's minus 2 cigars? Quote
Van Basten II Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 Considering that my last name is a typical Quebecois last name, pretty suprised that they are 42 people with the same name over there. 21 000 people share my last name. A lot of cousins over there it seems. Probably New Englanders. Quote
Shawn Posted September 18, 2007 Report Posted September 18, 2007 "There are 54 people in the U.S. named Shawn Dudley" I wonder if I can trade my credit score with one of them? Quote
