But I was real surprised, I bought the album for the supporting cast (mainly Lovano, Carter and DeJohnette) Kennedy's jazz chops need maturing and at times he walks the line between stiff and swinging, but "Expansions" has one of the best Jack D. grooves I've heard in a long time. Anyone else here like this album? I hope it opens more classical fans to jazz and Blue Note if they pick it up. Quote
