jmjk Posted September 9, 2003 Report Posted September 9, 2003 Thanks, Tony! Many of us who are lazy remain part of that silent majority thang... Quote
king ubu Posted September 9, 2003 Report Posted September 9, 2003 you see, Tony, at least we speak loud! now thanks, anyway. Seems to be a very interesting batch! The Hill is the greatest news, of course. Then I never heard the Mobley, Morgan and Rouse, neither the Larry Young one - hell, was born too late to grab that Mosaic. But I got the Rivers Mosaic, so probably no need to get a McMaster of that one. ubu Quote
jazzbo Posted September 9, 2003 Report Posted September 9, 2003 No, there's a sort of new ugly red cover posted elsewhere on the board for this one. Quote
king ubu Posted September 9, 2003 Report Posted September 9, 2003 Now you mention it, I remember having seen that one, too! Thanks ubu Quote
king ubu Posted September 9, 2003 Report Posted September 9, 2003 for those too lazy to search and click: thanks couw, you beat me! It's not terribly ugly, I'd say. Sort of the typical Roques cover, if there is such a thing. ubu Quote
David Ayers Posted September 9, 2003 Report Posted September 9, 2003 Thanks for posting this. But I am too lazy to look at it. Can anybody tell me what it looks like? Quote
mikeweil Posted September 9, 2003 Report Posted September 9, 2003 Blind Man, Blind Man & Lazy Bones - what a nice medley Quote
Soul Stream Posted September 9, 2003 Author Report Posted September 9, 2003 this gonna be the cover? ubu Hey, I like THIS cover. Where did you find it? Quote
Soulstation1 Posted September 9, 2003 Report Posted September 9, 2003 that cover is from the tocj series it is the one that has sonic boom and the other half of the procrastinator. Quote
Dan Gould Posted September 9, 2003 Report Posted September 9, 2003 And is much better than the red one they've designed for this issue. Quote
jazzbo Posted September 9, 2003 Report Posted September 9, 2003 Slight correction: That is the TOCJ cover for Sonic Boom. The other half of the Procrastinator 2 lp set was actually reissued with the first half of the Procrastinator 2 lp set on the Procrastinator TOCJ cd release (with a different cover than the US cd!) Quote
David Ayers Posted September 9, 2003 Report Posted September 9, 2003 that cover is from the tocj series it is the one that has sonic boom and the other half of the procrastinator. The TOCJ of Sonic Boom contains only Sonic Boom. The second session of the is on the TOCJ of Procrastinator but NOT on the Conn. That second session is added to Sonic Boom. Perhaps that is why they are changing the cover but I think they should have stuck with the original. Quote
Rooster_Ties Posted September 9, 2003 Report Posted September 9, 2003 I like the TOCJ cover of "Sonic Boom" quite a bit, although the new one coming out next month is good too. But I've never cared so much for the TOCJ cover of "The Procrastinator". Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted September 9, 2003 Report Posted September 9, 2003 Procrastinator TOCJ 1629, included the 1969 sextet session now to be issued for the first time domestically, paired with Sonic Boom A slight correction. The 1969 sextet date was issued on vinyl in the US in tandem with The Procrastinator Quote
RDK Posted September 9, 2003 Report Posted September 9, 2003 I actually like the new red cover. Oh hell, i'm really to lazy to care one way or the other... Quote
David Ayers Posted September 9, 2003 Report Posted September 9, 2003 And I'm too lazy to read this thread. Will somebody tell me what it says? Quote
jazzbo Posted September 9, 2003 Report Posted September 9, 2003 It says "More good stuff coming soon!" Quote
RDK Posted September 9, 2003 Report Posted September 9, 2003 So which of the new Conns have those "bonus" live Miles Davis tracks? Quote
