The Magnificent Goldberg Posted August 10, 2007 Report Posted August 10, 2007 Wow! These are Roogalator jackets by FCUK! http://www.solisstyle.com/solishop/product...roducts_id/1453 I just did a google and found them. Bobby Jameson made a single by the title "Gotta find my roogalator" in June 1966, 3 months AFTER Jimmy Smith's "Got my mojo working" came out! Personnel was quite interesting Gotta Find My Roogalator (R. P. Jameson) 2:30 H & R Studios, LA June 21, 1966 Produced by Norm Ratner Arranged by FZ Bobby Jameson--vocals Louis Morell--guitar Robert West--guitar, bass Carol Kaye--guitar Lawrence Knechtel--piano Gene Estes--drums, tympani John Guerin--drums It was issued on Penthouse 503 Jackie Mittoo and the Soul Brothers did a recording of Smith's arrangement but called it (and sang it) "Got my boogaloo working". This was probably in 1966/67 - the Soul Brothers were replaced by the Soul Vendors in 1967. I think Jimmy Smith invented it. And hell, you bleedin' well KNOW what it is! MG Quote
