Based on the number of artists on the complilation, it seems Norman Granz probably taped most of the '57 Festival. Everything from Cecil Taylor to Turk Murphy. I wonder how much is in the vaults. brownie Posted July 28, 2007 Report Posted July 28, 2007 Verve released more a dozen of LPs from the 1956 Newport festival. Michel Ruppli's Verve discography does not list any unissued items. However it does not include the sets (George Shearing/Cannonball Adderley, plus Stan Kenton CDs) that came out on the Pablo label several years ago). Were there more? Quote
