a carefree, and sober, aloc just bathed and shampooed(with conditioning shampoo, of course) his basketball.

as a jazz lover, do you have an eccentricity or two?

aloc has heard tales that on a recording session where charlie parker's horn wasnt sounding just right, they poured water in it.

Lots of people have eccentricities. I used to work with a guy who would go out to the toy store at lunch and then sit at his desk an fondle his new purchases. 30 years old, lives at home with Mom, hates jazz, hates culture, a real snob... :rfr

Did you two bathe together?

Come on...he didn't say he was shaving the basketball.

aloc met a very official guy(?) about 10 years old at the veterinarian, dressed in a suit, hair neatly combed, with his pet duck in a cardboard box, quacking like a malfunctiioning bassoon.

aloc has wondered whatever became of the young man and his pet duck, donald.

Out of curiousity, is there a reason that you like to refer to yourself in the third person all the time?

I consider that kinda weird. But maybe that makes me weird for noticing and reacting to it... :rsmile:

That's crazy. I like ducks. I like bassoons. I even comb my hair sometimes.

No basketballs though.

I mean...they're round. What's up with that?

Aggie87 wonders why don't you just call yourself 1.75 instead? Or 1 3/4? :rhappy:

7/4 is all about the 7th harmonic in the harmonic series. He's all about the tuning system known as Just Intonation. That's why he's a just ratio.

...well most of the time. 7/4 is actually real fucking nut case, but he loves music.

Noj's beloved Spalding Tack-Soft basketball rides shotgun in his Honda all week before being utilized for Tuesday night hoops. Sometimes Noj picks it up while driving. :rfr

for shear bounce-ability a younger Boy with the Golden Arm used to run to the slop sink and bath his basketball in steaming hot water several times a game when playing on the driveway court in the midst of winter.

if no one else was available he would also play in the third person. "Allan Hornyak from the corner" was oft intoned and could be appreciated by fellow Buckeye aloc.

aloc will add a cadenza:

with his basketball mudsoaked, and 10 minutes to spare, aloc shot free throws with his regulation nike football, making a very credible 12 of 25, cutting the session short because canadian geese took over the court.

try spiralling a football through the basket from the free throw line, with evan parker, barry guy, tony oxley, george lewis, and paul lytton in full flight, blasting out of your car's stereo system.

aloc is perfectly normal.
