Soulstation1 Posted July 23, 2007 Report Posted July 23, 2007 a lady drove her car in the dollar store today about 10' / 15' into the freakin' store i guess she thought she was hitting the brakes and hit the gas pedal instead needless to say the store had to close down a father and son got cut by some flying glass her car looked ok after they towed the shit away Quote
Soulstation1 Posted July 23, 2007 Author Report Posted July 23, 2007 i was talking with people about this and mistaking the gas for the brake is a big problem for older folks Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted July 23, 2007 Report Posted July 23, 2007 But if you look at the numbers, there are many more stupid teen drivers. Two teen drivers on my block have died in accidents since I moved here. No old farts. Quote

Jim Alfredson Posted July 23, 2007 Report Posted July 23, 2007 I don't think kids should be allowed to drive until they are 21. Teens, especially males, are far too stupid and immature. Quote
clifford_thornton Posted July 23, 2007 Report Posted July 23, 2007 http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/c...user=CTUSERNAME Damn! Well, 94 and 95 seem well beyond the age for driving skills. I'll add that I'm not the best driver in the world, and should probably be taking the test more often. Quote

mikeweil Posted July 23, 2007 Report Posted July 23, 2007 An uncle of mine returned his drivers licence after a crash - we had noticed he was less assured while driving and recommended it to him, but he wouldn't listen ... Agree on the young drivers, though. In Germany they introduced a strict no alcohol regulation for beginners. Quote
sidewinder Posted July 23, 2007 Report Posted July 23, 2007 In Germany they introduced a strict no alcohol regulation for beginners. Wish they would do that here. And the ones under 25 ! Quote
king ubu Posted July 23, 2007 Report Posted July 23, 2007 I'm not old, I don't drive, but possibly I'm bad - am I allowed to post here? Oh, and I'm bored at work, too... as if you'd have noticed... Quote

Yeah, it seems as if we see accidents involving teens in the news almost on a daily basis, especially when school is in session. I realize there are elderly that should not be driving, but there are far less of them on the road then there are stupid teens that feel they have mastered the skills after 2 weeks. Quote

Shawn Posted July 23, 2007 Report Posted July 23, 2007 courtesy of George Carlin... Drivers to avoid... Any old man wearing a hat. Any old woman so short you can only see her knuckles on the steering wheel. Quote
