connoisseur series500 Posted September 21, 2003 Report Posted September 21, 2003 Errr latest info: Corey Dillon is hurt and unlikely to play the second half. Steelers will win. Quote
Free For All Posted September 21, 2003 Report Posted September 21, 2003 (edited) Looks like the Chiefs are for real. Finally. Maybe. Well, we'll see........ Man, that Michigan game was a shocker. They were out of sync the whole game. Ohio State sure doesn't look unbeatable- the Big Ten seem a little rocky this year. The MAC conference is sure shaking things up. I used to work at Northern Illinois- they had a major losing streak going during the 90s (of course, my wife used to work at Kent State, if you want to talk about teams w/impressive losing streaks!). Man with the Golden Arm Posted September 22, 2003 Report Posted September 22, 2003 ss1, Wee Hoo....So we finally get a Brownies game on the tube out here and in the third quarter my 5 year old's on the phone with her grandad in Ohio and I ask her to ask him "...what's with this Holcomb guy?" and through the phone the reply is "He stinks!" Well not more than a half an hour later my kids get to see me jumpin' around the living room just like the old days!! Dems da Dawgs we love! Quote
connoisseur series500 Posted September 22, 2003 Report Posted September 22, 2003 Something about those Browns...I think they'll upset the 49ers. Wha-hooo! Saw it coming!! It was the "smell" of the matchup. Browns had to win. Christ, now Ted Washington and David Patton were hurt in the New England game. Forget the Pats going anywhere this season. Must look like a hospital ward over there. Quote
Jad Posted September 23, 2003 Report Posted September 23, 2003 How 'bout some love for the NW? What a weekend! First, the Oregon game, then Seattle goes 3-0! Whodda thunk it? Quote

connoisseur series500 Posted September 29, 2003 Report Posted September 29, 2003 Tennesse beat the Steelers once more in a heavyweight matchup. Buffalo was brought back to earth in Philadelphia. Quote
Jim Dye Posted September 29, 2003 Report Posted September 29, 2003 Tennesse beat the Steelers once more in a heavyweight matchup. That was a good game. It looked like the Steelers were going to finally get their revenge against Tennessee. They controlled the ball for 20 out of the first 30 minutes and seemd to be rolling for much of the first half. But the Titans were able to play relatively mistake free on the offense and capitalize on several key turnovers by the Steelers. It's a shame that we only see Pittsburgh once a year now. Pittsburgh and Cleveland are former division rivals that I always enjoyed watching a couple times a year. Go Titans! Quote
Soulstation1 Posted September 29, 2003 Author Report Posted September 29, 2003 the cards got their asses waxxed by the second stringers from the rams the browns sucked against the bung-holes the aints got destroyed by the colts, manning threw 6 tds i need a tabledance and a beer!!!!!!!! ss1 Quote
Big Al Posted September 29, 2003 Report Posted September 29, 2003 And the Cows are above .500 for the first time since..... hell, I can't even remember. From a different perspective, Tuna's record can be divided up this way: against teams he's coached before, he's 2-0; against everyone else, he's 0-1. Ah well, enjoy it while it lasts, I s'pose! Quote
JSngry Posted September 29, 2003 Report Posted September 29, 2003 And the Cows are above .500 for the first time since..... December, 1999. Quote
pryan Posted September 29, 2003 Report Posted September 29, 2003 The Vikes just manhandled the 49ers. So the question is this: how important is Daunte Culpepper? Assuredly not as important as Moss, who had 2 TDs (what an athlete). Quote
Soulstation1 Posted September 29, 2003 Author Report Posted September 29, 2003 super freak had three tds yesterday. it looks like he wants to play this year. he has all the tools to be the best. ss1 Quote
connoisseur series500 Posted September 29, 2003 Report Posted September 29, 2003 Randy Moss is so good it's scary. When does he go up for contract renewal? Quote
Soulstation1 Posted September 29, 2003 Author Report Posted September 29, 2003 super freak signed an 8 year, 75 mill, 18 mill signing bonus in the summer of 2001. ss1 Quote
connoisseur series500 Posted September 29, 2003 Report Posted September 29, 2003 super freak signed an 8 year, 75 mill, 18 mill signing bonus in the summer of 2001. ss1 The 8 years is just window dressing. Few contracts work out till the end like that. Will have to wait for the time that Minnesota encounters cap problems then they'll have to release him. The signing bonus will then get prorated out over the total number of years he was with the club. Quote
Soulstation1 Posted October 5, 2003 Author Report Posted October 5, 2003 (edited) week 5 picks the cowgirlzzz -7 vs the cards. this is my lock of the week. emmitt will be ready, but the cards will get crushed. raiders - 4 vs beards. if the faiders lose this one they can mail in the season over 46 points in the broncos/chiefs game. it should be high scoring panthers - 7 vs saints. the saints stink on the road eagles - 4 1/2 vs redskins. will the real eagles show up? mcnabb is costing me big time in my fantasy football teams upset special chargers +3 vs jacksonvile. are the bolts statin' out 0-5? browns pick over 42 points vs the steelers. i HATE the steelers. iron city beer sucks monday colts + 4 1/2 vs tampa bay. hey whose a better dancer, warren sapp or mark madson? ss1 Edited October 5, 2003 by Soulstation1 Quote
JSngry Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 Emmitt seems to have punked out, which saddens me to no end. The ONLY sad thing about the game, though... Quote
Free For All Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 I'm sorry, but Dante Hall is the SHIZ-NIT! You know it's coming but you can't stop it. He's been pulling the Chiefs' ass out of the fire regularly. Their last two wins have come primarily from Hall's play and opponents mistakes, but it's good to see a defense at last. A win's a win! Quote
Big Al Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 Emmitt seems to have punked out, which saddens me to no end. The ONLY sad thing about the game, though... Daaaaaaamn straight!!! How 'bout that D? Two possessions, two safeties!!! And I was there to see it! Ooooooh yeah!!!! Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted October 6, 2003 Report Posted October 6, 2003 I know this is the NFL page, but I'd like to say that I think it's bullshit that Michigan is ranked higher than Michigan State considering Michigan just lost to Iowa and State spanked them last weekend. Oh, and State's record is better. But oh well. Michigan is always over-rated. Quote
Soulstation1 Posted October 6, 2003 Author Report Posted October 6, 2003 b3-er Go Blue! i'm still trying to figure out how we are gonna win the championship with 2 loses. ss1 Quote
Soulstation1 Posted October 6, 2003 Author Report Posted October 6, 2003 what do you do when you go a friends house all pittsburgh steelers fans and they still want to bet on steelers/ browns game @ halftime? that's right you walk out with their $40, suckas go browns! Quote
connoisseur series500 Posted October 6, 2003 Report Posted October 6, 2003 Browns kicked butt and the Steelers suddenly have all kinds of problems: no pass defense; no running game; no good quarterback. Well at least Cowher got the special teams fixed. B) I did think that the Browns would win last night and I am not surprised by the victory. Brownies needed it more, and I imagine the Steelers had a hard time getting up for the game. New England took a big game from the Titans. Score was closer than it should have been as well. Some questionably penalties, including one which erased a Troy Brown touchdown scamper; two Vinatieri missed field goals from less than 40 yards out; a fumble on a punt return...lots of mistakes; but in the end, the better team won. KC won the heavyweight matchup. Tonight's game should be good. Quote
Free For All Posted October 7, 2003 Report Posted October 7, 2003 Anybody watching the Monday night game? After being down by 21 TWICE the Colts tied it up and OT's just beginning. A snoozer that turned into a great game. Quote
