RonF Posted September 8, 2003 Report Posted September 8, 2003 SS1, I hope you didn't put a lot of money on those picks. Crazy Sunday huh? The Broncos looked pretty good against the Bungles but Plummer lived up to his Arizona reputation as The Interception King. Denver fans are happy with the win but nervous as hell about Plummer. Quote
Soulstation1 Posted September 8, 2003 Author Report Posted September 8, 2003 (edited) my picks should be changed to my "weakly" picks. good thing i just write my picks down these dayz, so i don't lose my $$$ and my a$$ my pick of the year the arizona wildcats and the arizona cardinals combined will not win 10 games TOTAL. ss1 Edited September 8, 2003 by Soulstation1 Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted September 8, 2003 Report Posted September 8, 2003 Lions won today. That's a first in some time. How long has it been since they won the season opener? Of course, look who they were playing. State won this weekend, too. Good weekend for a fan like me. Quote
Soulstation1 Posted September 8, 2003 Author Report Posted September 8, 2003 justin "huggybear junior" fargas got a couple carries for the raiders last nite. Quote
Templejazz Posted September 8, 2003 Report Posted September 8, 2003 Picks for tonight's matchup between Eagles and Bucs? I'm gonna have to go w/ the Bucs unfortunately. I think it's gonna be real close, though. The Linc will be out of hand. Quote
Soulstation1 Posted September 8, 2003 Author Report Posted September 8, 2003 (edited) eagles - 3 will win tonite vs the bucs and the superbowl. donovan will have a big game and season a warning to everyone DO NOT use my superior knowledge of football to make some free $$$$, at YOUR expense. i was 2 for 2 in the broncos game, cut me some slack. we call jake, trouser snake, in arizona. its hard to believe with his record he could actually get 40 million from any team when moss wants to play he is the most dominant playa in the league. size, strength and that speed. nobody catchin' that man if he has a couple steps on a player. anyone in fantasy leagues? this year i have three teams TEAM 1 (50% OWNER) QBS CULPEPPER GARCIA RBS R. Templejazz Posted September 9, 2003 Report Posted September 9, 2003 (edited) Picks for tonight's matchup between Eagles and Bucs? I'm gonna have to go w/ the Bucs unfortunately. I think it's gonna be real close, though. The Linc will be out of hand. Man, what a piss poor game last night at the Linc. Birds couldn't pull any kind of offense against the Bucs fast d. No running game whatsoever and besides a few catches from Thrash, no bigs plays. What a disaster. Oh well, here come the Pats! Noj Posted September 14, 2003 Report Posted September 14, 2003 The Raiders just tried their best to lose to the Bungles, and won on a last second field goal. Things aren't looking good to this fan of the silver & black. Quote
JSngry Posted September 15, 2003 Report Posted September 15, 2003 So waht's the deal - are the Skins coming together ahead of schedule or did Atlanta just get stungunned and not wake up in time? Quote
Soulstation1 Posted September 15, 2003 Author Report Posted September 15, 2003 would it be an understatement jamal lewis ran all over the browns this afternoon? Quote
Tjazz Posted September 16, 2003 Report Posted September 16, 2003 I'm glad Kurt Warner doesn't get to play. He's been terrible, after winning the Super Bowl. He's too beat-up. I think he's too old too. Quote
connoisseur series500 Posted September 16, 2003 Report Posted September 16, 2003 would it be an understatement jamal lewis ran all over the browns this afternoon? Where the hell was the Cleveland defence? The secondary couldn't tackle a teddy bear. Jamal Lewis was dancing and tiptoeing and bullrushing through the Cleveland secondary all game. Knew the Browns would have some issues on defence since the departure of their starting linebackers and secondary, but this was shocking. Afraid the offense doesn't look exactly well-oiled either. The names are there on offense: great receivers, upcoming running back, competant quarterback, but the execution is awful. It will be a long season for Browns fans. Fortunately, I'm not one of them. Aggie87 Posted September 17, 2003 Report Posted September 17, 2003 What a wild & crazy Monday Night game! I never would've thought Dallas could tie the game up with 11 seconds left, but they did. I was actually disappointed they let the Giants back into the game, but in the second half the offense wasn't on the field long enough, and the defense got too tired. And Shockey was mostly a non-factor after his controversial comments earlier in the year about Parcells. My biggest criticism is that the Cowboys weren't able to put more TD's on the board, and had to settle for field goals. One or two more TDs and they might have put the game out of reach. Overall I thought Quincy Carter looked great! He currently leads the NFC in passing yardage, and the Cowboys have the No. 1 rated offense in the NFL! I don't think either of those stats will last, but I do think the Cowboys will have a SOLID passing game all year long, barring injuries. Quote
RonF Posted September 17, 2003 Report Posted September 17, 2003 When the Giants went ahead with 11 sec to go, I turned off the set and went to bed. Next morning on Sports Center I saw what I dumb shit I was. Amazing game. Quote
Soulstation1 Posted September 18, 2003 Author Report Posted September 18, 2003 it ain't gettin' any easier for the browns this week. they go to san francisco this weekend. hey my picks look better this week. can i get some love for my cowgirlzz pick. their "d" is strong ss1 Quote
Templejazz Posted September 18, 2003 Report Posted September 18, 2003 The She-eagles better use their BYE week wisely. They got the Bills next. 2 losses to start the season t'aint good. : Quote
connoisseur series500 Posted September 19, 2003 Report Posted September 19, 2003 I gotta feeling Cleveland might beat San Francisco this weekend. It's the old story in the NFL: the team that needs the win the most tends to win. My team, the Patriots play the Jets. I think we should beat them. We've still got some issues to deal with: linebacker injuries, the fallout over Lawyer Milloy's departure and whatever resentment remains for Belichek after that release. It's a long season and there's time for all teams to solve certain problems. Right now the Bills and the Chiefs are looking real tough. Quote
Soulstation1 Posted September 21, 2003 Author Report Posted September 21, 2003 my sunday picks, oh i'm not happy about michigan losin' yesterday! vikings- 4 vs detroit - culpepper is lookin' good and moss is superfreak bucs - 4 vs falcons. steelers - 4 1/2 bungels. cory dillion is getting his rushing record back against the steelers. over 42 1/2 wash and giants game upset special bills + 3 vs dolphins ricky williams will have a huge game packers - 7 1/2 vs the cards. the cards are the worst team in the nfl. browns pick do not bet on the browns at this time. holcomb is out by halftime. san fran - 7 vs the browns monday niter raiders + 4 1/2 vs broncos. jake the snake sucks ss1 i am blue over michigan GO BLUE! first the lakers, then the sparks and now mighigan, PLUS the browns haven't one a game. somebody get me a shot of jack pleaze! Quote
connoisseur series500 Posted September 21, 2003 Report Posted September 21, 2003 I'm watching the Bungles and the Steelers right now. Steelers are up 7-0. I still think the Bungles will pull this one out. They tend to play the Steelers tough. I'm blue about the Pats losing Rosie Colvin for the season. That's two starting linebackers out; and couple this with the departure of Lawyer Milloy. I can't be optimistic of the Pats chances this year. They'll beat the Jets at home however. Looking forward to the Bills-Dolphins this evening. I don't know who'll win. Something about those Browns...I think they'll upset the 49ers. Quote
