Just in passing, Lucky's tenor and soprano saxes are both now owned (and played) by Toronto's Pat LaBarbera. He says the tenor is "very dark-sounding"....

Hey Son-of-a-Weizen, I was lucky to pick that one up last fall for $4.00. I have been pretty happy with the issues in this series that I have picked up. When I have seen them they have been pretty cheap. I have one issue on this series, Fletcher Henderson and the Dixie Stompers, where the personnel listed is seemingly from another record they planned to issue, possibly a Don Redman collection.
