Dan Gould Posted September 6, 2003 Report Posted September 6, 2003 OK folks, since Dr. J. is going to post the answers to test #1 on Monday, I think its time to start compiling the participants for test #2 (MINE!). I have a strong feeling that participation will increase this second time around (I already have 3 "new" participants), so, in addition to providing your mailing address, please let me know in your message whether you are technologically able to assist in distribution. Current participants need not resend their address, but I'd appreciate a reminder regarding technological capability. Quote
vibes Posted September 6, 2003 Report Posted September 6, 2003 Forgive my ignorance, but what will the method of distribution be? Burned CD's? MP3 uploads? Quote
Dan Gould Posted September 6, 2003 Author Report Posted September 6, 2003 CDRs was the chosen method. Quote
Rooster_Ties Posted September 6, 2003 Report Posted September 6, 2003 Count me in too!!! (Just PM'ed as well.) Quote
Dan Gould Posted September 6, 2003 Author Report Posted September 6, 2003 As of now, all PM's received. Like I said, this is going to be a big group (hope I do y'all right) considering that I've got 6 or 7 new people already signed up, and I suspect a lot of people from the first batch will want to play again. Quote
Dan Gould Posted September 6, 2003 Author Report Posted September 6, 2003 The numbers keep rising ... we've already reached the total number of original participants for Tony's test! Keep 'em coming, but in the meantime I am going to go clear all of those Organissimo "so & so sent you a PM" messages from my hotmail account! Quote
Soul Stream Posted September 6, 2003 Report Posted September 6, 2003 please let me know in your message whether you are technologically able to assist in distribution. I'm not sure exactly how the CDs are being distributed. Dan, what do you mean exactly by the above quote? Thanks. Quote
Dan Gould Posted September 6, 2003 Author Report Posted September 6, 2003 CDR. There. You made me say it. Quote
paul secor Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 Dan - sent you a PM. Looking forward to hearing it. Quote
Jazzmoose Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 Dan- I did NOT send you a PM. That must have been my cat. But, as long as he's interested... Quote
Dan Gould Posted September 7, 2003 Author Report Posted September 7, 2003 Well, Mark, just be careful trying to get the disc away from him. I hear cats have claws and aren't afraid to use them Folks, we're getting a big reaction, but I haven't heard from everyone yet, so keep those PMs coming. Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted September 8, 2003 Report Posted September 8, 2003 I'm in, but my address has changed. PM'd you. Quote
Joe G Posted September 8, 2003 Report Posted September 8, 2003 I'm in, but I can get a copy from Jim. Quote
relyles Posted September 10, 2003 Report Posted September 10, 2003 If it is not too late, I would like to participate. Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted September 13, 2003 Report Posted September 13, 2003 I'd like to be involved in this. I doubt if I'd guess much but it sounds a great way of hearing a wide range of music. How does the Euro distribution work? It might help to have a 'How to join up' section pinned at the top. Quote
Dan Gould Posted September 13, 2003 Author Report Posted September 13, 2003 Bev, Board member "Gary" is in England and should be receiving his copy very soon. If you send him a PM I am sure he will set you up. Quote
Gary Posted September 13, 2003 Report Posted September 13, 2003 Bev, Board member "Gary" is in England and should be receiving his copy very soon. If you send him a PM I am sure he will set you up. Bev - i've got a copy for you - I'll post one as soon as i get your address. Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted September 13, 2003 Report Posted September 13, 2003 Many thanks Dan and Gary. Gary, I've tried to PM you but keep getting an error message. I'll try again in the morning. Quote
J.A.W. Posted September 13, 2003 Report Posted September 13, 2003 Gary, I've tried to PM you but keep getting an error message. I'll try again in the morning. Bev, Check out this post by B3-er Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted September 14, 2003 Report Posted September 14, 2003 Thanks J.A.W. I got a reply from Gary so my original message(s!) got through. Today I got told I had committed a protocol error. I suppose this means it will be at least 20 years before I get invited to dinner at Buckingham Palace! Quote
DrJ Posted September 16, 2003 Report Posted September 16, 2003 Damn...just got today's mail, and still no blindfold test CD-R!!! I'm gonna be WAY behind on the discussion by the time I get around to getting it (I am not looking at any discussion before listening to the CD-R). Come on, post office! Quote
