Brownian Motion Posted July 14, 2007 Report Posted July 14, 2007 http://www.myspace.com/composermarkoconnor I first saw Mark O'Connor at a club in St. Louis in 1976. He was 15, and he could play! I've always preferred his guitar work over his fiddle; unfortunately he has been forced to drop guitar because of chronic bursitis. Here's a good example of O'Connor at about age 20. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jaxdj4wLHnA...ted&search= Quote
Joe G Posted July 14, 2007 Report Posted July 14, 2007 Mark is a childhood hero of mine. I wore out the grooves of his "Markology" album, made when he was 16, and features only his guitar playing, along with Tony Rice and Dan Crary. His recent fiddle albums are pretty smokin' though. Didn't know that about the chronic problems. Bummer. Quote

Jim Alfredson Posted July 23, 2007 Report Posted July 23, 2007 O'Connor is a seriously bad dude. Love Ricky Skaggs, too. My wife and I (and Joe for that matter) are big Alison Krauss fans. Quote
