(BB) Posted July 12, 2007 Report Posted July 12, 2007 It's hot here and only going to be getting hotter. Friday and Saturday are going to be up over 100 with nights in the 70's, and without any AC that means we'll be lucky if we can keep the house below 80. Right now Illinois Jacquet ~ Port of Rico (with Count Basie on organ) is hitting the spot. Next in line will be Mr. Wait's first lp. Then maybe a little Ben Webster ~ Did you call? Quote
Chas Posted July 12, 2007 Report Posted July 12, 2007 What , you can't thermoregulate through biofeedback ? Well then , as per your request for cool tunes : Oh , and in your hyperthermic condition it might be best if you stayed out of the Sexiest Album Covers thread for awhile Quote
Free For All Posted July 12, 2007 Report Posted July 12, 2007 Probably not Woody's band playing Don Rader's Greasy Sack Blues, as that would be redundant. Quote
Shawn Posted July 12, 2007 Report Posted July 12, 2007 I think these would hit the spot nicely...Soul Samba's rhythms w/Burrell's guitar...Salt Song's overall uplifting vibe...and Street Of Dreams has a nice "cool" atmosphere to it. Quote
MoGrubb Posted July 12, 2007 Report Posted July 12, 2007 You might wish for "Stormy Weather" in hot sticky weather. re: songs to avoid Late last night when we were all in bed Mrs. O'Leary lit a latern in her shed The cow kicked it over And this is what she said: There'll be a hot time in the old town toni-i-ight.
