Brad Posted June 28, 2018 Report Posted June 28, 2018 Based on today’s lineups, it may be difficult to draw any conclusions from the match. Quote
Dmitry Posted June 28, 2018 Report Posted June 28, 2018 Belgian 2nd squad is making fools out of England’s center backs. If I were Colombia, I’d pray to play England. Quote
mjazzg Posted June 28, 2018 Report Posted June 28, 2018 But it won't be those centre backs in the next round unless there's a raft of injuries or Southgate loses his mind This has all the intensity of a friendly. No injury time at the end of the half says it all really Quote

mjazzg Posted June 28, 2018 Report Posted June 28, 2018 thank heavens that was our second string. No invention or penetration and no midfielder who could pass. Apart from that they were good Quote
Brad Posted June 28, 2018 Report Posted June 28, 2018 They’re better off finishing second as they’re not in the “bracket of death.” Quote
mjazzg Posted June 28, 2018 Report Posted June 28, 2018 I agree, and so does Southgate as his substitutions confirmed Quote
Clunky Posted June 28, 2018 Report Posted June 28, 2018 Didn’t make for good viewing by a neutral. Fortunately dull games have been a relatively rare occurrence in this year’s competition. Quote
sidewinder Posted June 28, 2018 Report Posted June 28, 2018 Watching paint dry was more exciting.. Quote
Brad Posted June 30, 2018 Report Posted June 30, 2018 Less than an hour to kickoff. Messi is playing center forward. Quote
Brad Posted June 30, 2018 Report Posted June 30, 2018 I will be rooting for Argentina today even though this may cost me a CD. One thing France has that no other country has is the best national anthem. Nothing compares to it, in my opinion. Quote
Brad Posted June 30, 2018 Report Posted June 30, 2018 (edited) Don’t cry for me Argentina Notwithstanding the three goals by Argentina, this was not a great Argentina team. France was impressive and with a little better defense, they could could have won more comfortably. They vault up in my estimation but if they face Uruguay, I’m not sure I see them winning Get my cd ready Dmitry Edited June 30, 2018 by Brad Quote
Dmitry Posted June 30, 2018 Report Posted June 30, 2018 Argentine coach is a fucking moron. Argentinian defense was shit, wasn’t it. God damn amateurs lost them the match. Messi is a genius. Mbappe is a genius in the making. He made France’s match, single-handed. Barcelona or Real must have him at any cost. Brad, pick what you want from Amazon. Quote
brownie Posted June 30, 2018 Report Posted June 30, 2018 It was nice to see the French team come back from nowhere and Mbappe prove his talent to the world at large. Will watch more of their games in the next few days. Sad to witness Messi in defeat! Quote
Brad Posted June 30, 2018 Report Posted June 30, 2018 Dmitry, will let you know. The final score could have been worse had France cashed in that confusion between the keeper and the defender. Quote
mjazzg Posted June 30, 2018 Report Posted June 30, 2018 Well played France. Impressive throughout the side. Argentina were poor and looked old not experienced. Why no Aguero from the start - crazy selection. Some great goals. A joy for a neutral. I'm looking forward to seeing a lot more of this French side, especially Mbappe. Hopefully all the way to the final where they lose to England Quote

Getting ready for the second match, garnacha is flowing fast and plentiful here on Calle Santa Maria. Btw...btw, not a single VAR stop in the A-F match, have you noticed? Quote
Brad Posted June 30, 2018 Report Posted June 30, 2018 (edited) What was the reaction in Madrid to Argentina losing? Edited June 30, 2018 by Brad Quote
Brad Posted June 30, 2018 Report Posted June 30, 2018 This is a very unusual match. All the stats heavily favor Portugal. They should be winning but are not Quote

Portugal had two thirds of the possession. Uruguay can’t win like that against France. What was even more curious was only one yellow card. Many more could have been called. Quote
Dmitry Posted June 30, 2018 Report Posted June 30, 2018 This is what Cavani will be showing his grandkids 30 years from now. Guy became immortal tonight. 2 hours ago, Brad said: What was the reaction in Madrid to Argentina losing? Don’t forget, I’m among the mostly tourist crowd. Guess how the Brits reacted to Argentina’s loss... Quote
