Sorry, did I say it was going to end badly, it's actually started very badly. Gérard Houllier arrives at Aston Villa and leaves them in confusion Quote
Van Basten II Posted September 11, 2010 Author Report Posted September 11, 2010 Horrible start for Schalke, no points in three games. Quote

B. Goren. Posted September 11, 2010 Report Posted September 11, 2010 Aston Villa 3, West Ham United 0. West Ham looks terrible. They have to wake up, otherwise they will spend most of the season in the relegation zone. Eh, it's only the first game of the season, relax a bit. :g Bolton 3, West Ham 1. I am relaxed. The problem is that West Ham's players are also relaxed. IIRC, their next games are Chelsea and Manchester United... 3rd game: Manchester United- West Ham 3:0. Nobody really expected West Ham to come back from Old Trafford with points in their pockets. Nest week: Man Un - Everton, West Ham - Chelsea. Four games and still no points to West Ham. I'll cross my fingers to West Ham and Mr. Grant. Quote
Cliff Englewood Posted September 12, 2010 Report Posted September 12, 2010 (edited) I'd still wait until they've played at least 10 games before I'd panic about any team, I mean Everton are in the bottom 3 at the moment as well and Blackpool are 4th, so it's still very early days. Just going on the highlights the Hammers were a bit unlucky, certinly the second goal was a comedy of errors. I think Liverpool really need a win today, Birmingham isn't an easy place to go to though. Edited September 12, 2010 by Cliff Englewood Quote
Cliff Englewood Posted September 13, 2010 Report Posted September 13, 2010 Strange game at St Andrews yesterday, Birmingham's home record is very good, they haven't been beaten at home for a year or something like that but still Liverpool seemed a bit subdued. However some of the reports regarding Torres performance went a bit over the top I thought. Mascherano didn't have a great start for Barca, substituted at half time and they still lost, to a promoted side, at the Nou Camp!!!! Quote
Brad Posted September 13, 2010 Report Posted September 13, 2010 Real Madrid won but on the Marca site, Casillas begged the fans for indulgence as the team coalesces. Quote
Cliff Englewood Posted September 13, 2010 Report Posted September 13, 2010 Real Madrid won but on the Marca site, Casillas begged the fans for indulgence as the team coalesces. It's funny but Pepe Renia has asked the Liverpool fans to do the same thing. I don't know what it is about this season but the panic button seems to be seeing a lot of action already. Quote
Van Basten II Posted September 13, 2010 Author Report Posted September 13, 2010 Real Madrid won but on the Marca site, Casillas begged the fans for indulgence as the team coalesces. Real has indeed not been impressive in its two games so far. Quote
Van Basten II Posted September 15, 2010 Author Report Posted September 15, 2010 Champions League started today, saw two games MU-Rangers Dreadful game , gruesome injury to Valencia Barça-Panathinaikos. A lot more entertaining, believe it or not the 5-1 score was not representative of the game, it should have been 8-0 or something like that. Quote
B. Goren. Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 Chelsea 4 - Zilina 1. It's not really the same league. I'm glad Yossi had the opportunity to play. Quote
Cliff Englewood Posted September 17, 2010 Report Posted September 17, 2010 Nice picture of Lucas's goal from last nights 4-1 victory. Quote

B. Goren. Posted September 19, 2010 Report Posted September 19, 2010 Barbatov starts to show why sir Alex wanted him. Quote
Cliff Englewood Posted September 19, 2010 Report Posted September 19, 2010 Berbatov was the difference between the two teams, his second goal was amazing, I wasn't very impressed with Liverpool or Man U to be honest, I think 1 nil to United would have been a more accurate reflection of the game, 3 - 2 makes it sound better than it was. Brad Posted September 20, 2010 Report Posted September 20, 2010 I had doubts when Liverpool hired Roy Hodgson and nothing has happened to dispel those doubts. Quote

Van Basten II Posted September 26, 2010 Author Report Posted September 26, 2010 (edited) Watched Roma upset Inter with a goal in injury time. Neither team really looked impressive. Edited September 26, 2010 by Van Basten II Quote
