couw Posted June 23, 2007 Report Posted June 23, 2007 these wind machines are by Theo Jansen another dutch guy, Gerrit van Bakel has been building moving artwerks/machines that, instead of the fast wind, use the energy of day/night, summer/winter, dry/wet changes. His Tarim machine is made to move 18mm per day and designed to cross the Tarim basin (Takla Makan desert) in 36 million years. So the old man will have to tell his grandson to tell his grandson to move the house a little as the machine will be passing by in a couple of centuries. Quote
Noj Posted June 23, 2007 Report Posted June 23, 2007 So fun to watch, just awesome. Thanks for posting it, Jim. Quote
