Bol Posted May 31, 2007 Report Posted May 31, 2007 The W&W website lists a new live recording by Motian's Trio 2000 band. This looks very good. Appearances by Kikuchi and Osby. http://www.winterandwinter.com/ Quote
Aftab Posted May 31, 2007 Report Posted May 31, 2007 That looks good - gonna have to add that to the list. Quote
7/4 Posted May 31, 2007 Report Posted May 31, 2007 Motian seems to be a sign of quality these days...I'll get a copy. Quote
Sundog Posted May 31, 2007 Report Posted May 31, 2007 Thanks for posting. Adding this one towards the top of the list. Quote
7/4 Posted May 31, 2007 Report Posted May 31, 2007 The problem is...I'm still checking out the last three or four albums Motian released. Quote
LWayne Posted June 3, 2007 Report Posted June 3, 2007 Anybody have any details about a USA release? I couldn't fid anything on the W & W website. Is this presently available? Thx, LWayne Quote
Sundog Posted July 3, 2007 Report Posted July 3, 2007 FYI- CDU now listing this as a September 4th release. Quote
Claude Posted July 3, 2007 Report Posted July 3, 2007 (edited) It's been released in Europe at the end of May. It's a December 2006 concert. There are sound clips on this page: http://www.jpc.de/jpcng/jazz/detail/-/hnum/1272640/ Edited July 3, 2007 by Claude Quote

montg Posted November 1, 2008 Report Posted November 1, 2008 A second volume of this group at the Village Vanguard has been released. Looks promising, any comments (on either volume)? Winter & Winter cduniverse Quote
GregK Posted November 1, 2008 Report Posted November 1, 2008 A second volume of this group at the Village Vanguard has been released. Looks promising, any comments (on either volume)? Winter & Winter cduniverse I bought both of them 2 weeks ago at Borders. I've only been able to listen to them once each, but I like what I've heard so far. At least on first listen, the second volume seems a little more avant-garde (and not just because of Mat Maneri being added). Quote
