Very sad if so. I heard him numerous times years back when he took part in Bill Cole's various productions at Dartmouth College and with the amazing cooperative trio with Anthony Davis and James Newton. Has anyone else ever summoned up the ghosts of Pablo Casals and Robert Johnson in the same measure? By Myself is a generally unacknowledged masterpiece and the duo material with Julius isn't far behind.... Quote

Makes it unusual that his passing wouldn't be noted and easily discoverable on Google. Here's hoping it's "greatly exaggerated" as Mark Twain once said. Quote
