Guy Berger Posted July 6, 2007 Report Posted July 6, 2007 Sounds dam fine to me! This seems to be the consensus... Haven't heard it myself. Guy Get it while it's cheap. I paid $11.99. It'll be even cheaper on BMG in a few months. Guy Quote

skeith Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 What's the consensus on this one? Doesn't seem to be generating much excitement. Quote
Alexander Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 I think it's a lot of fun, but then I am a big Jaco fan. I love the sound he brings to the group. McLaughlin is in top form and Tony is always great. Hard to imagine why McLaughlin and Williams were so upset with Jaco. He plays his ass off here! Quote
PHILLYQ Posted August 1, 2007 Report Posted August 1, 2007 I got it recently and I have to say that the tracks that were not on the "Havana Jam" discs were pretty good. I was hesitant because I had "Havana Jam" and it was not very special at all. It sounded like an ordinary jam. The actual live tracks are much better. Quote
kh1958 Posted August 1, 2007 Report Posted August 1, 2007 It is worth buying, in my opinion, particularly for the live tracks. Quote
skeith Posted August 7, 2007 Report Posted August 7, 2007 I picked it up because you guys recommended it. So far listened to the live tracks and they are fine - not earth shatteringi - sort of what I expected. One bit of confusion - the liner notes say that the live tracks weren't issued because Tony's cymbals weren't miked - but I am hearing his cymbals - what am I missing? Quote
