Guy Berger Posted May 9, 2007 Report Posted May 9, 2007 these should be $5 now... You can buy it cheap and then every year put a sticker over the "7". Guy Quote
md655321 Posted May 10, 2007 Report Posted May 10, 2007 Tough loss for the Warriors, in every conceivable way. Next two games are Oakland, they NEED to win both, and I dont think there is a person in America that doesnt think they can do it. Quote
Guy Berger Posted May 10, 2007 Report Posted May 10, 2007 (edited) The Ws gave that game away... bricking free throws, Baron turning it over. Props to Kirilenko for a monster game and to Derek Fisher for smothering defense on Baron near the end. I hope Dee Brown is OK. Guy ps Best wishes to DFish and his family. Props to Kirilenko for a monster game and to Derek Fisher for smothering defense on Baron near the end. I hope Dee Brown is OK. Guy ps Best wishes to DFish and his family. That says it all. I have an urge to whine and moan at length about how the W's gave this game away, but things happened in this game that put things in perspective. That Dee Brown injury was scary, and I just hope it won't prove to be serious in the long term. As for DFish, I never really liked him as a player when he was with the Warriors, but he is by all accounts a great guy, and I wish him and his family the very best also. As for this game, I'll just say that I think we gave away our chances of winning this series tonight. Even if we take two at The Oracle, I don't think Utah is going to leave the door open for us again like that at their place. We really could have stolen game 1, but tonight was nothing less than a gift. Maybe Biedrins can give Pietrus some tips on FT shooting. Quote
Soulstation1 Posted May 10, 2007 Author Report Posted May 10, 2007 WTF pat riley stated yesterday that the daddy will not be traded in the off season.... i didn't know the daddy was on the trading blocks Quote

His trade value is only going to deteriorate from now on and it doesn't look like Miami will win another championship with him. Guy Quote
Noj Posted May 10, 2007 Report Posted May 10, 2007 Doesn't he want to come home and play with his pal Kobe? Quote
Aggie87 Posted May 10, 2007 Report Posted May 10, 2007 Maybe Orlando would want Shaq and Little Penny back... Quote

Guy Berger Posted May 10, 2007 Report Posted May 10, 2007 I hope Oakland fans give Derek Fisher a standing ovation when he goes on the court on Friday. Guy Quote
Noj Posted May 10, 2007 Report Posted May 10, 2007 When Fish first joined the Lakers he couldn't shoot and all he did was hustle on defense and scrap for loose balls. He worked tirelessly on his jumper until he had a fairly accurate three pointer. The shot he made to keep the Lakers from going down 1-3 in the Western Conference Finals against the Spurs with four tenths of a second left in the game is one of the most memorable shots of my lifetime. Getting overpaid by the Warriors was a just reward for all his efforts. That said, I too wish Fish the best and his daughter a speedy and complete recovery. He's a classy, hardworking ballplayer. However, like Robert Horry, he's been associated with occasional clutch play in the playoffs. Guy Quote

Patrick Posted May 11, 2007 Report Posted May 11, 2007 okay, Prince and Billups arrived for the second half. Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted May 11, 2007 Report Posted May 11, 2007 I couldn't watch the first half due to a gig, but I got home just in time for halftime and saw the box score. I said out loud, "What the hell?" Then I read that the Pistons only had one trip to the line in the entire 1st half. Uh... The third quarter was a thing of beauty, however. The Bulls are done. They'll be lucky if they don't get swept. Quote
Noj Posted May 11, 2007 Report Posted May 11, 2007 This series is in the refrigerator. The door is closed, the lights are out, the eggs are getting cool, the butter's getting hard, and the jelloooooooooo's jiggling. Quote

Jim Alfredson Posted May 11, 2007 Report Posted May 11, 2007 It seems to me Bowen is looking at the ball (his head is up) the entire time. If he was purposely going for Amare's heel, then he'd be looking down, no? Quote

If he was purposely going for Amare's heel, then he'd be looking down, no? Wow, I don't know. It looks like his head does dip a bit at one point, but regardless, you can look down with your eyes without tipping your head forward. I hadn't even heard about this until just now, but looking at that clip, it looks borderline dirty to me. Sticking his right foot out that far just looks unnatural, especially when he was totally beaten on the play. Reading about Bowen's earlier fine just makes me that much more suspicious. Quote
