Dave James Posted November 21, 2009 Report Posted November 21, 2009 Nothing very deep or thought provoking. I just replaced a picture of 50's Cincinnati Red, Ted Kluszewski with a Grateful Dead logo. Up over and out. Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted November 21, 2009 Report Posted November 21, 2009 Klu was one of my idols as a kid. Big arms. Quote
Shrdlu Posted November 21, 2009 Report Posted November 21, 2009 I'm using a pic I took on the road from Banff, Alberta, to Calgary last March. Gorgeous scenery. Quote
jazzbo Posted November 27, 2009 Report Posted November 27, 2009 I couldn't help it. One of the most beautiful women in the world on one of the coolest bikes. . . . Quote

Matthew Posted April 4, 2010 Report Posted April 4, 2010 I honor of the start of the baseball season: 1913 World Series, New York Giants vs. Philadelphia Athletics. Athletics wins 4-1. Quote
BillF Posted April 4, 2010 Report Posted April 4, 2010 Did they really have buildings like that in 1913!? Quote
Matthew Posted April 4, 2010 Report Posted April 4, 2010 Did they really have buildings like that in 1913!? It's the old Polo Grounds in New York, which has quite a storied history to it. The bluff behind the stands that you can see is the famous Coogan's Bluff. Of course, everything connected with New York baseball is "legendary." Quote
mikeweil Posted April 4, 2010 Report Posted April 4, 2010 The composer I am researching at the time ... Quote
jazzbo Posted November 11, 2010 Report Posted November 11, 2010 Changed mine today. My siblings and I in front of our new home in Addis Ababa, 1966. I'm the tall one. Quote
Matthew Posted January 9, 2011 Report Posted January 9, 2011 I do not hate everything about the Yankees, Old-Old-Yankee Stadium is very cool Quote
The Magnificent Goldberg Posted October 6, 2012 Author Report Posted October 6, 2012 When I got my new computer a few weeks ago, of course, the desktop background didn't fit because the screen is a different shape to the old one (it's 1366x768 now). SO I messed around with a couple of pics which I alternate, according to mood. That's a view of part of Tonyrefail, that I took from halfway up Trebanog Hill. MG Quote
The Magnificent Goldberg Posted October 6, 2012 Author Report Posted October 6, 2012 How do you get that to fit your screen, Bill? I can get 'Paint' to centre 'Spider Man', but have to redo it every time I alternate, which is a pain in the arse. So I shove it into the middle of a ready-made black background. MG Quote
BillF Posted October 6, 2012 Report Posted October 6, 2012 How do you get that to fit your screen, Bill? MG I get a computer-savvy daughter to do it for me! Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted October 6, 2012 Report Posted October 6, 2012 I am currently using this wonderful shot by Mark Sheldon. I hope he doesn't mind. Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted October 7, 2012 Report Posted October 7, 2012 A picture I took in a Cornish maize field a couple of years back. I was lying on my back on the path! Quote
