Tim McG Posted June 9, 2007 Report Posted June 9, 2007 (edited) Har. Seriously, though...the first time I saw this car [1 of only 500 ever sold in the US] I was just in awe. The owner saw I was interested, let me see the engine and told me it can do 250 mph! The tires alone were 18" across; composite frame, 6-speed transmission...I mean, Wow! J Larsen Posted June 9, 2007 Report Posted June 9, 2007 There is often one parked on my block, which always throws me for a loop. If you are going to spend $150K + on a car, can't you spring for the extra $600/month for a parking space instead of leaving it on a narrow block in downtown Manhattan? Quote

BTW, I checked and it turns out I was off on the GT price tag by a factor of three... I think I told this story on the boards once, but once I was walking around a dodgy part of Paris late at night and saw a homeless guy pissing on a yellow Lamborghini that was parked on the sidewalk. Great image. Quote

Maybe he blew the wad on the wheels. This guy also had a good looking blond in the passenger seat with big, uh....eyes. I wonder if she was factory installed.....nah. Quote
7/4 Posted June 9, 2007 Report Posted June 9, 2007 I have a 1957 National Lap Steel Grand Console up now, here's a small version, the full size one is amazing. Reducing it loses all the detail. Quote
