The Magnificent Goldberg Posted April 9, 2007 Report Posted April 9, 2007 I've just changed my desktop wallpaper, which made me wonder about other people's. Here's the old one - Blue Mitchell scanned a long time ago from the cover of True Blue And here's the new one; one of my favourite paintings, by John Martin - "Mad" Martin - which I found on the web a short while ago. It's not quite the right shape, which accounts for the black bits at top & bottom, which are where my icons and that blue bar at the bottom go. The title is "In the great day of his wrath". My wife prefers this one. What have you got? MG Quote
sidewinder Posted April 9, 2007 Report Posted April 9, 2007 Thanks MG - I've just switched my machine to the Blue Mitchell. Quote
Brownian Motion Posted April 9, 2007 Report Posted April 9, 2007 I change it every few weeks. This is my current wallpaper Quote

7/4 Posted April 10, 2007 Report Posted April 10, 2007 (edited) OK, it's sorta like this, except my desktop only shows the hands and the guitar. They have a real nice high resolution version too. note the very cool tail piece and bridge. Edited April 10, 2007 by 7/4 Quote

Unk Posted April 12, 2007 Report Posted April 12, 2007 (edited) It's cool, though it don't swing. http://economist.com/screensaver/ Unfortunately, it misses big hunks of the world. Edit: Sorry, this is a screensaver, rather than background. My background is rotating photos I took back in the 70s and 80s: Chet, Moody, Woody H, Pony Poindexter, Earl Hines, Clark T, Zoot...and me. sidewinder Posted June 8, 2007 Report Posted June 8, 2007 (edited) i was curious about this album when i saw it a couple years back ... any recs for it? thanks. A bit late to reply to this but yes, it's good. Typical Clarke/Boland/Sadi fayre of the period and - as per usual - well recorded by SABA. I like it (wish I could find a vinyl). jazzbo Posted June 8, 2007 Report Posted June 8, 2007 (edited) Damn that Sadi is probably great. I have a recent picture of my wife, with a light crop of newly grown head hair, standing in our backyard (which she loves, in front of the pecan tree the woodpickers have a nest in).
