Jazzin'D92 Posted April 6, 2007 Report Posted April 6, 2007 I am. I know some of you may be glad and other oh brother! lol. SO how is everyone? Wow it sure has been a while since I've been on here. I hope everyone is doing well! I'm sorry I haven't been on lately! But I'm doing well. I'm finally getting lessons for clarinet and I wish I could have gotten them sooner! I'm also playing oboe and it fun.. it's sounds like a dying duck or party thing that you blow into when you do SURPRISE. It's funny. lol. Well everyone please tell me what's new! Can't wait to here from you all! Lots of Love, Danielle Quote
GA Russell Posted April 6, 2007 Report Posted April 6, 2007 Hi Danielle! Do you have any plans for Easter? I got my ham yesterday. Saturday I'll buy two dozen eggs and boil them, and then color them. Nothing fancy. Glad to see that you've started the clarinet. Phil Woods said that the clarinet was invented by three guys who didn't know each other! I got a clarinet record this week by a New Orleanian named Alvin Batiste. I'll post about it early next week when I have some time. I think you would like its New Orleans beat! Quote
Jazzin'D92 Posted April 6, 2007 Author Report Posted April 6, 2007 Hey! Ga Russell. Glad to hear you're doing well! Umm I think I'm going to a cousins house to meet up with family that lives here in,Az. I think we're having turkey and ham. Then I'll probably play with my lil cousins...and hide eggs for them to go find. So that should be funnn Yeah I'm enjoying my clarinet lessons a whole lot! I wish I would have decided to take lessons sooner, but in the past I wasn't that serious about music, but whoo I sure am now. lol. I can't wait to hear what you have to say about the record u got. I'll have to look that artist up or something...I think I've heard of him. But thanks! You have a wonderful Easter! Love, Danielle Quote
jazzbo Posted April 6, 2007 Report Posted April 6, 2007 Danielle, welcome back! Hope you learn to play clarinet as well as my favorite clarinetist Pee Wee Russll! (Born with the name Charles Ellsworth Russell.) Have a happy Easter. Things are only mediocre with me, but I'm hoping for improvements. Quote
Jazzin'D92 Posted April 6, 2007 Author Report Posted April 6, 2007 Thanks jazzbo! Lol I'll try my best. One day you WILL hear of me. You have yourself a Happy Easter as well and I hope things get better for you! Love, Danielle Quote
JSngry Posted April 6, 2007 Report Posted April 6, 2007 Good to hear from you Danielle. Keep practicing, and keep that fire going! Good thing you're getting some clarinet chops now while you're still young. I started on sax & didn't get around to trying to learn doubles until I was 20. It's a lot easier to do it now, trust me. AllenLowe Posted April 7, 2007 Report Posted April 7, 2007 well, I was thinking of making a bonfire - now, in terms of this thread, I won't post my earlier comment that got snipped, by the powers that be - but I will repeat what I said in an email to someone - watching this thread is like seeing a bunch of old guys in a bar tripping over each other to light a young babe's cigarette - Quote
