Shannon Dickey Posted March 21, 2007 Report Posted March 21, 2007 Billy Murray...A.K.A. The Denver Nightengale, one of the top selling early recording stars of the early 1900's. Does anyone on this board enjoy/like/know of him? Tiny Tim once told me that he (Tiny Tim) was shocked/outraged that there was not a statue of Murray, somewhere in Denver. I understand that Murray was not born in Denver, but spent/lived a considerable time here. He did some great sides, not really 'jazz', but wonderful just the same.
