sidewinder Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 The freeview HD satellite receivers to use on Astra are coming down a bit in price, now below the £100 level. Good for the BBC HD 'demo' and no subscriptions to Rupey Boy. Maybe now is the time to go for one? Quote

JSngry Posted March 17, 2007 Report Posted March 17, 2007 i can honestly say that HD is not that great. I've seen it and I dont get why people shit their pants over it. Unless you're watching on a very small set, my experience is just the opposite - it's a dramatic difference to me and most. We've got an HD set, and I concur. If you watch a lot of sports (and I don't watch "a lot" by hardcore standards, but I do watch a fair amount), the difference is immediate, real, and pretty damn dramatic. Same with concerts. Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted March 17, 2007 Report Posted March 17, 2007 I think the changes were made for Sony, Best Buy, cable companies, etc. Don't watch enough tv to require a need to see the pores of Tucker Carlson. Quote
