LWayne Posted March 14, 2007 Report Posted March 14, 2007 I am looking for copies of Andrew Hill's Blue Note CDs "Eternal Spirit" and "But Not Farewell" from his second stint with Blue Note... and Lucky Thompson "Tricotism"... I hope there is a chance. Thanks, LWayne Quote

funkogre Posted March 14, 2007 Report Posted March 14, 2007 "Tricotism" has also been recently reissued by Fresh Sound records as "Lucky Thompson Meets Oscar Pettiford" if you can't find the GRP disc. It's really messed up how The Crusaders "Royal Jam" and "Tricotism" have the same upc code. Quote
Clunky Posted March 14, 2007 Report Posted March 14, 2007 If you can wait the Thompson should be part of the LT Mosaic select (not sure how firm plans are for this) Quote

I mentioned this some time ago. I mailed Mosaic suggesting amongst other things a pre 1950s LT set. The response indicated that they were looking at a LT select of ABC/Decca sessions. No detailsof what it would include but I'd guess the Tricotism sessions would be included for sure. Quote
