close as in west coast again ... the altoist is a "name" - for a beer.

Oh, ok. I like a Shank more as a cut of lamb or veal than as a beer. ;)

ey, I've been listening to the thing since before it was even born. It's good, but I know all the answers and don't want to spoil the fun. Plus I am too busy to think up one-liners to combine clues and fun of the kind that makes all the others shrug and make guestures of appointed craziness. I'll bet next month will be deader still (sorry MG) and the month after death we'll have a regular ghost town in this here BFT forum...

BTW and as the drummer would say: thebonustrackkicksasshellyeah!

Oh - I see you already posted the answers ..... I'm sorry but so many things are keepin' me too busy for concentrated listening, although I really dig this disc. I promise I won't peak at the others' guesses nor the answers and post my comments as soon as our new water piping etc. is done ..... :(

TRACK TWENTY-THREE - Wasn't this on your last BFT? Or was that Big Al's? Whatever I said then, I repeat now. Hey, Ben Webster, and all that implies.

Not on mine nor on Al's... I don't think ... but Webster is correct!

It was on Bright Moments's (Evan's) BFT #35. If I'd had this disc way back when I did my BFT, I woulda definitely put it on MY BFT! In any event, here is Jim's original comment from Evan's BFT:

TRACK ONE - Maybe it's all the Monday Michiru I've been listening to lately, but a cut like this is almost enough to make me wish that men should not be allowed to make music for public consumption w/o first receiving a permit from a certified board of really hip women.

I mean, really, it's a slight (to be kind) melody in the first place, and everybody gangbangs it like it's some hot juicy trollop. Why? What's the point?

Poor Ben.

And I still disagree with him! :P;)

Sorry I didn't get to play, Vint. Been so busy that even thinking about listening to a BFT is exhausting!
