(I better not let my wife look at this thread. She might get a wrong impression ....) It's a grey, foggy day here, and I had to drive my wife to work after she surprised me with a beautiful photobook about Bulgaria - we spent our vacation there a few years ago and fell in love with the country and its people, and intend to return there next year. Another nice surprise was when I picked up some ordered items at my bookseller she surprised me with the newest German translation of my favourite contemporary Italian writer, Andrea de Carlo's latest book (Giro di vento) which I had pre-ordered but not expected before April. So I will have to choose between an evening at the fireplace with my wife and the books or a visit to the baroque marathon at the musical high school in Frankfurt, which I always wanted to attend but always missed due to other commitments - teachers and students performing from 6 to 11 p.m. on period instruments, which I love.
