jazzbo Posted August 26, 2003 Report Posted August 26, 2003 I've read reviews of this film that call it a trainwreck. It still seems interesting to me as a concept and I've been trying to talk my wife into going to see it. . . I'm getting a little bit of success but someone called it "incoherent" and my wife likes films that cohere. . . . Anyone have a report? Quote
Dmitry Posted August 26, 2003 Report Posted August 26, 2003 I saw it. Wait for ithe video, unless you're a huge Dylan fan. It completely falls apart at the end. Last 30 minutes were almost painful to watch. Quote
jazzbo Posted August 27, 2003 Author Report Posted August 27, 2003 (edited) I am DEFINITELY not a huge Dylan music fan, I like his work with The Band and Blood on the Tracks and New Morning and that's about it, but I liked Tarantula, and I'm not much of a renter of videos or buyer of videos or dvds; I prefer to see films in the theater rather than watch them at home. I may try to see this this weekend. Thanks for the info. I sort of EXPECT it to fall apart at the end! Edited August 27, 2003 by jazzbo Quote
Big Al Posted August 27, 2003 Report Posted August 27, 2003 The reviews I've read make it seem like this movie is like watching the back of one of Dylan's mid-60s albums come to life. Quote
