Rooster_Ties Posted August 26, 2003 Report Posted August 26, 2003 Decent price on a disc that's becoming a bit hard to find. I'm not the seller, and all the usual disclaimers apply. (Just something I saw on eBay, and thought I'd pass along the info here.) eBay link AMG review Less than 8 hours to go on this auction (as of when I started this thread). Quote
JSngry Posted August 26, 2003 Report Posted August 26, 2003 The album that started the James Clay rennaisance! Great stuff indeed. Quote
jazzbo Posted August 26, 2003 Report Posted August 26, 2003 Thanks for passing that along RT. It's not available any longer! Quote
jazzbo Posted August 26, 2003 Report Posted August 26, 2003 There's a cassette available though! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...&category=20823 Quote

robviti Posted August 26, 2003 Report Posted August 26, 2003 there are a few sealed copies of art deco available at a local record store. as another board member recently discovered, they are quite willing to do mail order. here's the link: stereo jack's. for the fun of it, mention my name to them. dsgtrane Posted August 26, 2003 Report Posted August 26, 2003 I picked this one up used a few years ago. Not among my fave Cherry but nice to have. Quote
Dmitry Posted August 26, 2003 Report Posted August 26, 2003 Mother Theresa had a purpose in life. So does Rooster - hooking up others with Art Deco. Quote
JSngry Posted August 27, 2003 Report Posted August 27, 2003 Decent price on a disc that's becoming a bit hard to find. Uh, how many more years before one's spare copy becomes REALLY valuable? Quote
Rooster_Ties Posted August 27, 2003 Author Report Posted August 27, 2003 Mother Theresa had a purpose in life. So does Rooster - hooking up others with Art Deco. Dmitry's refering to the fact that just a couple weeks ago I traded him an extra copy of "Art Deco" on CD, that I had found used in Columbia MO, for only $6. But I've seen it go for maybe up to $15 on eBay before, but I've seen it go for less too. A great album (IMHO), and $10 (postage included) seemed like a pretty reasonable price to me. Quote
mailman Posted August 27, 2003 Report Posted August 27, 2003 This is one great recording. I'ts a CD I play frequently and never tire of it. As was stated the recording quality is excellent and Clay is a reveleation. A beautiful record. Quote
Dmitry Posted August 28, 2003 Report Posted August 28, 2003 I am very grateful to you for this cd. One of the best cds recorded in 1980s that I have. Quote
John L Posted August 28, 2003 Report Posted August 28, 2003 James Clay more than lives up to legend on this one. Quote

I would almost tend to agree, by and large, although it sounds as if you like it even better than I do!! Quote
