The Magnificent Goldberg
I just heard on CNN that there are new pending charges of attempted murder in the first degree. Did she do something that hasn't been reported beyond using the pepper spray? I don't see how you get to first degree attempted murder otherwise. I suspect the original news item has been changed since it was first posted. This is what it sez now. "The facts that Mrs. Nowak drove approximately 900 miles, urinated in diapers so that she did not need to stop, stayed at a hotel where she paid cash and used a false name and address to register, stealthily followed the victim, while in disguise, and possessed multiple deadly weapons at the time she confronted the victim, as well as spraying the victim with a substance meant to disable a person, create well-founded fear and give this investigator probable cause to believe that Mrs. Nowak intended to murder Ms. Shipman," the report concluded. Jazzmoose
I think this is cruel. She drove all night, was picked up by the cops around 4 AM and questioned until 5 pm, and then this picture was taken. How much of this is stress of the previous 24 hours vs some sort of break down? Damn bleeding heart liberals...
JSngry
Maybe NASA's been doing mind-control experiments on astronauts in outer space.

alocispepraluger102
I feel sorry for her. .......and for what she is yet to go through. it is most likely that potential astronauts are subjected to psychological stress tests that 99.9% of us would fail. Sounds like she brought her "A" game.
Aggie87
Lisa Nowak has been kicked out of NASA, and has gone back to the Navy, which is her actual employer. Alot of the astronauts are actually military members, who are detailed to NASA during their astronaut training & missions. Nowak, a Navy captain (equivalent to full bird Colonel in the other branches), is being assigned to NAS Corpus Christi, with unspecified duties. This should be interesting, as Corpus isn't the largest of towns (or military bases) to start with. She's going to be a very public, big fish, in a smallish pond. Maybe I'll take her out for a cup of coffee sometime.
