Scott Dolan Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 Same. So what does medjuck mean? Quote
White Lightning Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 I was "Lon" at bluenote and jazz central station. I thought you were Lonson at the BNBB, no? Quote
Noj Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 (edited) Lon Armstrong? Edited January 23, 2007 by Noj Quote
ajf67 Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 Man, the BNBB seems like forever ago. I think my name was the same. Quote
Randy Twizzle Posted January 24, 2007 Report Posted January 24, 2007 Foxy_Lady2578.... no I'm sorry that was my first AOL screen name. Quote
JSngry Posted January 24, 2007 Report Posted January 24, 2007 I was JSngry. Indeed! It's time to offer up a hearty "Thank You" to you and all the rest of the wordwide network of the rabidly entreprenurial round-the-clock jazz vigilantes who signed on with the franchise and made it a name synonimous with "me" always having something to say even if I was at a loss for words, bored shitless, off taking a nap, or in the bathroom. Now, we're proud to offer an jazz bulletin board first - an IPO. Look for it on the Dow as SBS. It's a ground floor opportunity, and those who get in now are in for some pleasant surprises in the months ahead. Call your broker now! Quote
paul secor Posted January 24, 2007 Report Posted January 24, 2007 Same as here - except with capital letters. Quote
Rooster_Ties Posted January 24, 2007 Report Posted January 24, 2007 Same as here -- even with the underscore character the same... Rooster_Ties Quote
Big Al Posted January 24, 2007 Report Posted January 24, 2007 Same as it ever was. Here, JCS (RIP), JC, AAJ, Hoffman, the Texas Rangers forum, etc.... Quote
Teasing the Korean Posted January 24, 2007 Report Posted January 24, 2007 No wonder "Same" had so many posts over there. There were so many of you posting under that login! Quote
GloriousBlues Posted January 24, 2007 Report Posted January 24, 2007 AxeJeeves. For some reason I thought it was a funny name. Quote
BERIGAN Posted January 24, 2007 Report Posted January 24, 2007 Same except when it wasn't. I don't recall all of them, but one that sticks out was Berigan2electric boogaloo. Chris A. didn't like it........... Quote
jazzbo Posted January 24, 2007 Report Posted January 24, 2007 Lon Armstrong? Not Lonson. I'm Lonson at AAJ (that's my real first name, a family name). I guess it was "Lon Armstrong". . . .Hard to remember! Quote
Jazzmoose Posted January 24, 2007 Report Posted January 24, 2007 Let's see... Started as maddog, went to jazzmoose, was either banned or wiped from the database and came back as jazzmoose II or jazzmoose junior or something like that. Also posted under a couple of othe rather obvious parody names based on other posters. I don't remember them, but I know one was modeled after the Maltzter's name and posting style, and other one was on a post that used the word tome about fifty times... Quote
Aggie87 Posted January 24, 2007 Report Posted January 24, 2007 YertleTheTurtle, my middle name. What's your last name, Seuss? Quote
Jim R Posted January 24, 2007 Report Posted January 24, 2007 Claude Interesting. I tried using Google to search for my profile page, but no dice. So, I played around with the numbers at the end of Claude's url (which represent the person's BN member #), and in the process of finding my profile page, I found some people I had forgotten about, such as: member #33 Quote
porcy62 Posted January 24, 2007 Report Posted January 24, 2007 It was the same. I did't want to hassle those guys at NSA. Quote
Dan Gould Posted January 24, 2007 Report Posted January 24, 2007 and other one was on a post that used the word tome about fifty times... sprinkled liberally with ducats, I imagine. Quote
Indestructible! Posted January 24, 2007 Report Posted January 24, 2007 My handle was the same there... although my first choice was already taken ("Sadik The Smelly Turd"). Anybody remember the first incarnation of the BNBB? All the responses to a thread were line-tabbed underneath the original thread post... what a pain in the ass that was to read... although there weren't really many people on the BNBB at the time. I do remember Kevin Bresnahan and Lon Armstrong were two of the earliest members of that old old BNBB... and then our good friend Greg M. came along a little later. Hey, who was that guy that kept harping on about how Blue Note should release the "Ultimate Elvin Jones"? Maybe another guy named Kevin (not Kevin B.)? He even created an online petition, had a bunch of his friends sign it, and then posted it to the BNBB for Cuscuna and Blue Note to see... unfortunately, he left all his buddies' names and e-mail addresses on it (for the spamming world to see as well)! Wonder if he ever bought the Elvin Jones Mosaic? (One of the) Best posts on the BNBB... Jim's "glowing" review of Ron Carter Plays Bach! THAT was some funny shit right there! Cheers, Shane Quote
Jim R Posted January 24, 2007 Report Posted January 24, 2007 Hey, who was that guy that kept harping on about how Blue Note should release the "Ultimate Elvin Jones"? Maybe another guy named Kevin (not Kevin B.)? I want to say Kevin W... Kevin Walter(s)? (Btw, just because I want to say something, that doesn't mean it will make any sense) Quote
