Aggie87 Posted February 26, 2007 Report Posted February 26, 2007 Great pictures, Barak! Glad everything went so well - congrats to all involved. PS - You guys fly halfway around the world, to drink Sam Adams?? Quote
White Lightning Posted February 26, 2007 Author Report Posted February 26, 2007 PS - You guys fly halfway around the world, to drink Sam Adams?? That was my fault. even though I prefer Belgian Beers, I thought American was more suitable. And since most non-Micro Brewries American beer stink - Sam Adams, which came to like while in DC was the Beer of the festival... Quote
GA Russell Posted February 26, 2007 Report Posted February 26, 2007 Sounds great! Congrats everyone! Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted February 26, 2007 Report Posted February 26, 2007 Joe and I did try an Israeli beer called Maccabee at a little restuarant by the beach the following day. It was very good! Long flight(s) yesterday, but here it is 8am and I'm pretty well rested after going to bed at 9pm last night. Its just Zora and I today! Back into the thick of it, so to speak. Nice pictures, Barak. I can't wait to see more. Quote

I can't wait to see more. I fell into bed around 8 pm and slept until 4:30 am, had a nice big glass of wine and went online until 6:30, then crashed again until noon.. WOW .... WHAT A TRIP !!! I'm going to spend at least the next week digesting the whole thing.. Looking forward to the photos taken.... Edited February 26, 2007 by randissimo Quote
ghost of miles Posted February 26, 2007 Report Posted February 26, 2007 Sounds like it was a fantastic experience for all involved. Was this festival a one-off, WL, or will you be attempting to make it an annual event? You're to be congratulated roundly for pulling it off! And my thanks as well for posting those pictures. Quote
sidewinder Posted February 26, 2007 Report Posted February 26, 2007 ....and went online until 6:30 Now there's dedication for you ! Glad things have gone real well with the trip. Quote
Jim Alfredson Posted February 26, 2007 Report Posted February 26, 2007 It was the 18th annual. We learned that one just started in Jerusalem last year (this year will be year two). Maybe we can do that one next year, if it survives. Quote
White Lightning Posted February 26, 2007 Author Report Posted February 26, 2007 Organissimo in Jerusalem!!! Quote
randissimo Posted February 26, 2007 Report Posted February 26, 2007 Organissimo in Jerusalem!!! Great pics Barak.. Thank you for posting them.. Quote
Joe G Posted February 26, 2007 Report Posted February 26, 2007 From Barak's page, this one is of Jim and I, standing amazed, while we listen to the Call to Prayer from a nearby minaret. It filled the entire courtyard with an incredible, haunting sound. In the pauses between phrases could be heard more distant calls, and sometimes the pitch relationships between the near and far made your spine tingle. Quote
chris olivarez Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 Glad everything went well and everybody had a good time. Quote
Daniel Andresen Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 This concert was fantastic Thanks to Organissimo & to Barak for a great concert Quote

Just click on the yellow "View Slideshow" button. Daniel, thank you for the compliment! It was very nice to meet you in Tel-Aviv. Quote
Ron S Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 Great pics, Jim! They really give a good feel for what the place and your trip were like (and for what it's like to schlepp you guys around ). You're very visually attuned to the details--obviously due to Alison's influence. Looks like Barak took great care of you guys! Quote

connoisseur series500 Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 Sounds like it was a great show. I know firsthand how seriously and meticulously Barak prepared for the show based on sundry live chat exchanges. We've also seen Barak's terrific camera work in the past. B knows how to take pics for sure. (I kinda like Randy's stocking cap!) Quote
Joe G Posted February 28, 2007 Report Posted February 28, 2007 (edited) (I kinda like Randy's stocking cap!) Finally someone noticed Randy's one-of-a-kind organissimo knit cap! Here are some of my pics of the trip: Kodak Gallery Edited February 28, 2007 by Jim Alfredson Quote
